Xiaomi Yeelight Review - The Coolest Desk Lamp Ever? | 4K

Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Xiaomi Yeelight Review – The Coolest Desk Lamp Ever? | 4K”.
Welcome guys, this is the xiaomi yi light, and it could well be the most sophisticated light you’ve ever seen so costing just under fifty pounds. The e light is probably a little more than you’d expect to pay for a light, but this thing has more than a few tricks up its sleeve and we got to get to those in just a minute, the tip again with from first glance. This is a Xiaomi product from head to toe tip. To top, you can just tell it’s really really high quality, though so the base is metal and the whole thing looks great and attracts zero fingerprints whatsoever. So in terms of physical hardware, you can see we’ve got just two buttons on the thing, it’s very very minimalist: there’s the power button, which literally just turns it on and off exactly as you’d expect and then there’s a button to change the light color – and this Is where things get interesting, one tap will instantly change the whole view of the light into something more reminiscent of a daylight color and then one more tap and it’ll pulsate in all the different colors. You want 16-million. To be precise, it gets better.

The top of the Yi light is actually a fully functional touch panel and sliding a finger very smoothly. Just around the end will actually adjust the brightness of it, and what really struck me is how bright this thing gets. It’S not going out too well on camera, but it’s very very bright. It could quite easily replace your desk lamp and although the light isn’t exactly one directional, it could light up a whole room quite easily and then there’s the flexibility of the whole thing.

This one piece of kit right here could be your desk lamp, but it could also be your reading light. It could be the light that puts you to sleep or it could be your mood lighting pretty much anything, and then it goes even further. There’S even an app you can download from their website which lets you remotely via Bluetooth control, the light and its extensive from the basics such as being able to change the hue and the brightness. You can also set timers. You can make this turn off for a certain amount of time or you can make it pulsate with four colors of your choice from a choice of 16 million. You can change the speed of the pulsation and there’s so many settings.

It’Ll literally blow your mind. A couple of issues I had, though, first of all the app is in Chinese, which isn’t actually a disaster, considering how easy it is to understand, but it just would have been nice to be in English. Now not really an issue here, but just be aware that this thing runs on the mains there’s no built-in battery, which means that providing you can actually find a way to effectively hide the cable. This no problem at all.

So essentially that is the xiaomi yi light. It’S very very functional. It’S the most sophisticated light I’ve ever used. It looks sleek fits into any style of room and fills it with color of your choice and then there’s the mind-blowing amount customization. And so, although I can’t really give this a rating out of 100, I can safely say it compares very well to the Philips hue, which is the mainstream competitor.

Thanks for watching guys – and I hope you enjoyed this video – you .
