Wireless TV! AI lights! What you missed at CES!

Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Wireless TV! AI lights! What you missed at CES!”.
A portion of this video is sponsored by Govi. This is never coming out. This is never coming out. This might never take off. Ces is known for showcasing like crazy products, uh and a lot of vaporware uh, but some stuff actually does end up making its way.

Uh to stores this has been my, I think, my 13th or 14th year uh at CES. I love it. I just got back and I wanted to share some of the coolest crazy stuff that I saw there. I put a little video this on Twitter and a lot of you are not feeling it um.

This is the Sony car. I guess it’s now the Sony Honda car, which does appear to actually be heading towards production, Which smart money was on that thing, never coming out, uh they’re, saying 2025, but I doubt it um. So what like? What do you think about it? The design is polarizing to me. It looks like maybe like a 2010 uh ish car from the outside, but it’s got a bunch of stuff inside and outside a bunch of sensors. 45 motion sensors, it’s built on the Snapdragon architecture. It’S got a ton of screens inside, presumably since Sony’s doing the UI it’ll be like menu and then you have to go through another menu and then another menu and a bunch of other menus uh. But they will have a bunch of beautiful screens and I got ta.

Imagine it’ll have like a PS5 or at this point a ps6 uh built in. So if you looked at the Cyber truck and thought that looks too boring, looking um, we did the lorian Omega concept car now. This is obviously never in a bajillion hundred bajillion years.

Uh ever going to come out. I guess it’s rooted in like the Baja stuff. That’S why it looks like a boogie. I guess they’re imagining with DeLorean in 2040. Uh will look like I’m more Curious with DeLorean in, like 2023, 2024 is gon na look like if their cars ever come to the market, but it just looked wild. So I don’t know here’s this thing, so this is is a car that you can actually pre-order but allegedly Coming to America.

At this point I don’t know but meet the light year too. The big deal about this – you can probably guess by looking at it uh. There’S solar panels on it um. So in theory, you don’t have to charge it as often because solar panels can charge the battery they’re saying it’s going to lead to about half as many carbon Emissions on the car they’re, also claiming up to a 500 mile range and a starting price of forty Thousand dollars those two things do not sound like they go together, allegedly coming uh towards the end of 2025.

These solar panels, they say, like you, charge the car three times less each year. That’S interesting! I hope it comes uh to Market. I think it’s a cool use of solar panels, but I don’t know we’ll see Walker on CS. I was drinking water, which meant I was visiting the bathroom quite a bit and had I had the Withings you scan, I could have been analyzing my P. This is actually really cool use of like Health, Tech, and this, I actually think, really will be coming out. So it goes in your toilet, uh and when you pee on it gives you an instant analyst analysis of your biomarkers measures, nutrition hydration, it gives you actionable advice based on you, know your pee uh. It’S got little kind of like pods things in it. You have to replace, I think, every 12 uses it seems a little gross uh, but also really awesome way to get information about your health.

I’D also make a few pee jokes so thumbs up to that. If there was a theme for me, MCS this year is probably uh. First, my feet hurt and second, it was AI in absolutely everything uh, one of the boosts we stopped at was actually showing a ton of AI in this article’s sponsor Govi uh.

Ladies and gentlemen, actually did a video uh on Govi and you guys loved it. They’Re really proud – and I guess kind of rightfully so – to show off the very first use of AI algorithm uh, the smart lighting industry that was kind of making this content reactive, customized lighting effects. You’Ve got to want to get into the immersive gaming uh.

You can pick up the Govi AI gaming sync box kit, which I got a little bit early. It’S my Flex right. There uh inside you’re, gon na get an AI sync box. Gon na get one LED light strip and two of the light bars those things they’re going to do sort of the content, uh reactive, stuff too, and it’s all system on a chip stuff too. It’S executing 14.4 trillion calculations per second, obviously, you’ve seen like light matching stuff uh before what those are doing is really just matching kind of the video video that’s coming out what’s happening here with the AI you’ve got over 30 lighted effects, customized for like a single Game supporting Apex valorant and a bunch more uh, coming in 2023 it’ll work with 27 to 34 inch displays you’re gon na get 99 color matching accuracy and near zero synchronization. So practically no delay.

Think of this, as like kind of the evolution of those lighting setups that we’ve seen for a few years and those are awesome and they work and they make it slightly more immersive than just sort of sitting in front of a TV. But this is kind of the evolution of those setups instead of just sort of syncing with you know, pictures that are happening. It’S actually going to give you sort of an in-game experience. That’S utilizing sort of that’s being done all through AI.

So, like imagine, your health is running low, you start blinking red, imagine, you’re healing, and it starts glowing green, it’s sort of adding to the experience instead of sort of augmenting. What’S going on and go is really committed to this too. It’S going to be an evolving platform, more games will be added, more experiences will be happening here and, since goby’s been around their brand that, I think is pretty trustworthy and their brand. That’S delivered really quality products at affordable prices um. I trust they’re gon na deliver on what they promise. So cars are all fine and good, but uh. What about you want to go chill on your boat, this boat? This is the navier 30. They actually had it.

On the show floor, it’s a hydrofoiling boat. I had to look up what that meant. I don’t know much about boats, but this does make it 10 times more efficient than gas powered boats, because it’s powered by electricity. It’S 30 feet long 35 knots Max Speed. It’S got.

Two 90 kilowatt Motors give you 75 nautical miles of range, which I learned is different than like land miles. Honestly, it looked cool, so we saw it. I think it’s coming out too. Lg is known for bringing some strange displays to CES they’ve brought rollables into their credit. They generally tend to come to Market.

This is the LG M3. It’S a 97 inch OLED that has no ports, it’s, I guess essentially Wireless except for a power cord. So it’s mostly uh Wireless DV itself is streamlined and Sleek all the ports are in this wireless receiver box. You keep in the same room and it kind of just sends the signal.

It still features the same pretty good TV stuff. That LG is known for uh, 4K, 120 hertz, so latency would probably be a concern. You don’t want to have somebody talking in the voice to be out of sync gaming, probably not ideal here either. I imagine it’s more of a demo, but LG does bring weird things to production, so I don’t know.

Maybe that wasn’t the only thing LG was showing uh. I couldn’t tell if this was called the LG object or the LG OLED T. Essentially, it’s a screen that when it’s blank, it looks like a piece of glass. You can completely see through it and we’ve seen these before, but never that looked this good. I guess the idea kind of put a TV in front of a window or in retail locations. I was just really cool, I mean I don’t know the Practical use of this other than like those things I made up.

I imagine this won’t be on sale anytime. Soon, but it did look awesome in person, so this was super cool uh, it’s the Nikon unicellular telescope and this is like a real actual product. It’S using imaging technology to make viewing space easier, so the technology, it’s called the EV scope. 2.. It Stacks. Let me just make kind of a better view.

It also works in light polluted city, so the eyepiece is using a micro obla display, which allegedly is what Apple’s going to be using in their upcoming VR, headset or sure. If you just click where you want telescope to point and in two minutes you can see something on it. Think of it like looking more into like a viewfinder than actually looking to to lenses.

It was a really cool use of technology and I’ve been really fascinated with space recently. So there’s that thing so ring car cam. This is definitely not announced, it’s es, but actually you can pre-order it now when it’s coming out, probably this year, uh think of it as Ring’s version of a dash cam One camera faces a cabin other camera faces Outdoors 1080p resolution motion detection alerts on your phone Something’S happening all the stuff, you’d expect Alexa LTE connection.

If you want to pay six bucks a month, uh, it’s all powered by your OBD2 port. I guess it’s kind of cool if you want to have a sort of an easy install for a dash cam, where you’re into the ring ecosystem and I’ve actually seen it in a car actually at the Broncos, and it was the reason I wanted to film this. So I don’t know, look at this Bronco with the with the camera in it. If you remember now about what a year and a half ago, uh ring announced a drone that was going to fly around your house to patrol and uh when it’s not in use the camera is totally hidden and it’ll keep you safe, they were supposedly demonstrating it. There and I saw videos of it demonstrating, but when we saw it, it was doing what I imagined it would do in most people’s houses when it’s not being chased around by cats, dogs or just kids. That think it looks hysterical so less sexy, but probably more practical and definitely coming how about she too uh? Why are they charging so chi chi is the wireless charger that pretty much everybody uses um it’s getting better if you’re, an Android User would be looking sort of longingly at magsafe.

G2 is essentially taking the magnets from magsafe and bringing it over to pretty much every phone out there. So, presumably by the end of this year, even um we’ll start to see G2 phone start to come out. So you know, magnet on should make things easier for everybody.

Standardized is something I think is really awesome that Apple’s been using so thumbs up, for that also should be slightly more efficient than previous generation Qi as well. There’S a lot of other stuff at CA at CS2, including a machine that could test if, like your avocados, were ripe and a bunch of weird robots that were rolling around some of the coolest stuff. That I saw that I wanted to share with you guys. Out of all this list assume they were all real products which one would you take uh, I’m excited by the technology in the afila, I’m excited by technology in the light year, two, if ever comes to Market everything else is really cool uh to see. But I don’t know, let me know in the comments .
