Wind-Powered Music Box

Wind-Powered Music Box

Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Wind-Powered Music Box”.
Wind chimes are a great way to add music to your garden, but I wanted to see if I could find a way to make the wind play a melody instead of just random notes. So I designed a simple wind powered music box. Now, whenever the wind blows, it plays a whole song. The first and most important step in this project is finding a good crank, operated music box. You want to find one with a song that isn’t annoying. Now we need to make a simple wind turbine start by cutting two small pieces of wood that are each about a foot, long apply a drop of hot glue to the center of one piece and then attach the second one to make an X.

Now. Take two plastic balls and cut them in half. This will give you four cups apply a large drop of hot glue to the back of one cup.

Attach this to the end of one arm of the X. Wait for the glue to solidify then repeat this with the other three cups. This will be your wind turbine to attach it to the music box, apply another large drop of hot glue to the center of the X, then press on the crank arm of the music box. Once the glue is cooled, turn it over and spin the cups.

It should turn easily and play music to mount the music box. I attached it to the end of a wooden pole, just apply some hot glue to the end of the pole and stick on the music box. Lastly, I applied a coat of spray paint to give everything a more uniform appearance, and your wind powered music box is complete, set it up in your garden and wait for the wind to blow when it does.

The turbine will turn the crank of the music box and it will play the song thanks for watching and check back next week for more DIY hacks and tattoos. You .
