Hey, what’s up folks how’s it going. This is waj hope you guys are all doing well here to share a quick video with you guys about uh. This thing this is the es02, which is a remote control for your pc, designed by silverstone. Essentially, what this is a remote power and restart switch for your pc uh. There is no software involved, it’s a hardware-based solution. Now there is the wake on lan protocol that a lot of people like to use and there’s a whole bunch of different applications for your smartphone.
That gives you full control of your power and restart capabilities of your pc uh via the connection to your home network. But the awesome thing about this is requires. No software included in the kit is a 2.4 gigahertz wireless transmitter that connects to your front panel, motherboard connections and included in the kit is also a y cable that allows you to still connect your existing buttons.
For your case, so you still have all that full functionality and then you simply connect the transmitter to an available 9-pin internal usb 2 connection on your board. If you don’t have one available, it does come with a splitter that allows you to connect multiple usb internal connections in one. So if you’re like me – and you have limited usb 2.0 internal connections on your board, this is a definitely convenient thing to have other than that. This is a pretty simple and straightforward kit to set up and the remote control itself is kind of in a fob form factor. So you can hook it up to your keychain if you like, and it works up to 20 meters away, which is perfectly reasonable, and it’s a really convenient thing for me personally, because at the end of the day, when i’m done my work, i can turn off The computer, without having to open up the monitors and shut down and everything like that. So this is definitely a convenient solution to have and even would work really great. If you’re going to put your computer in a remote location where you’re not going to have a physical access to it in an easy and fast fashion, so definitely a lot of interesting applications that you can use this little kit for.
