Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Ultimaker Now Made in the USA”.
I’M annika zunis fans live at makercon and i’m here with eric de bruyne of ultimaker and he’s going to tell us a little bit about some of ultimaker’s new announcements that he just made on stage about half an hour ago and so ultimaker has now made the Usa and in the netherlands, can you tell us a little bit about you know how that will benefit your company and and customers as well? Well, it will definitely benefit our customers and well, in turn, also our company, of course, but uh. We can provide a lot more value, we provide more service more quickly, shipping could be, could be cheaper and it’s gon na gon na be cheaper, so uh yeah a lot better service. You could you could call uh call us in just regular us time zone so yeah, that’s very helpful, yeah fantastic, and you also mentioned a bit about the enable community. Um creation of you know prosthetic hands of various types for people of various sizes that need them, and you mentioned an app, and you mentioned that ultimaker had made a donation as well to the enable community. Can you tell me a little bit about that? Yeah? That’S right: we’ve we’ve actually donated about ten thousand dollars and worth of 3d printers ultimakers. So we want to make sure that everybody can get this prosthetic device if they, if they, if they need one – and it’s really because this project really exemplifies just about everything.

Ultimaker stands for it’s a it’s a community that collaborates with community community, that is about helping other people, uh get physical things that they could not get otherwise, because it would not fit otherwise or it’s just too expensive, so it really um. Yeah really is the project that exemplifies what you could do with 3d printing and digital collaboration. Excellent, that’s great to hear it’s always good to see uh people supporting communities and community development of worthy projects like enable um.
