170, sex toys and today we are building another budget PC. You know I do a lot of regular ATX builds on the channel, but I haven’t done a micro ATX build in such a long time. So I thought why not change things up a bit. So the goal of this PC is very simple: 1080p gaming over a hundred fps in high settings and we’re gon na do that by spending only around $ 600. Let’S begin so, if you clicked on this video, then you’re, probably into competitive gaming.

Following that video, it will help. You build your very first PC starting off with the processor I’m going with Amy’s new rising 330 300 X.
It’S a quad core 8 threaded CPU that stacks right, underneath the horizon. 5. 3600. The reason why I’m going with the 3300 X is because of the value it offer is 120 bucks and you get a quad core 8 threaded CPU with a boost clock of 4.3 gigahertz and it comes with their weight, stealth, cooler and the reason I chose this Over the 3100 assembly, because the 3300 X has a single CCX layout compared to the 3100 X’s dual CCX layout, this basically means reduced amount of time.
The cores have to wait to talk to each other, which is huge when it comes to gaming and exporting files. So for extra $ 20, you get much more performance out of it, making this PC great for basic content creation as well, however, for streaming games or heavy multi-threaded application use, I do recommend going with the rising 5 3600 instead, which is a six core. 12 thread. Processor, with these new CPU same, they also announced new, be 550 motherboards as well. However, these boards won’t be available until June. Also they won’t offer anything beneficial for this specific bill, because it won’t take advantage of any of its new features.
So that’s why I’m sticking with the gigabyte B 450 am simply because of the value it offers for only $ 73. You get four dimm slots supporting up to 36 hundred megahertz. You got MDOT to support a 12 volt RGB header to plug in RGB fans or accessories, and it also supports third gen rising right out of the box. So we don’t need to flash the BIOS now, if you guys are building inside a regular, full-size ATX case, then I would ditch this motherboard spend a little bit more and get the tomahawk max, because this has more features better overclocking support and overall is just a Much better board than a d4 50 M, but unfortunately this is above our price range and it doesn’t even fit in the microwave Jack’s case. Hence why we’re going with the b4 50 M from gigabyte? Ok.
So what do you get with the B 550 chipset and worth waiting and upgrading? Well, for starters, you get PCI Gen 4 support for the 16 PCIe lanes, dedicated for the GPU and PCI Express expansion, slots and then four lanes that are reserved for the high speed, nvme and SSDs. With that said, current GPUs won’t see any noticeable performance gains with this upgrade where you will see a huge improvement in is nvme SSD speeds. You also get upgraded USB 3.2 Gen 2, USB connectivity and future upgrade ability, because these will support desktop processors with Xen 3 architecture. So if none of that really matters to you – and you want to save money, then you are better off staying on the B 450 platform for memory, we are going with 16 gigabytes of the Patriot, VIPRE steal ram with a seal timing of 17. These are currently the fastest Ram.
I could find our in-stock that cost 85 bucks for storage. We are going with a 512 gigabyte SSD from a data, and this one is a little on the pricier side because it has DRM SSDs with DRAM perform faster overall than SSDs, without the RAM, so you’re expected to pay slightly more for them. If your workload requires a lot of transfer times and a lot of constant write performance, then it’s beneficial to pick up and SSD with the RAM for the graphics card. Your options are either in our x5 8000 or the nvidia gtx 1650 super afford this budget.
They both perform within 1 percent of each other when it comes to overall games. So it really comes down to preference. At this point, the power color RX 580 was the only GPU reasonably priced that was still in stock. That didn’t require me to sell a kidney, otherwise i’ll probably would have picked up a gtx 1650 super, because i do like using GeForce experience more, but whatever GPU guys buy, make sure you’re buying a GPU that performs the best on the games that you play.
Some games are better optimized on specific cards, for example, the gtx 1650 super does better on rainbow 6 siege by an average of 10 FPS compared to the RX 580, but the RX 580 does better in resident evil 2 by the same amount. So make sure you, research this and buy a card that gives you the best performance on the games that you play the most probably the entire build is a 600 watt, 80 plus bronze certified power supply from cougar. I’Ve used this in other builds in past. It’S super reliable and, frankly, I think, is the best price 600 watt power supply you can find on the market, assuming it doesn’t go out of stock.
The one thing that don’t like about the power supply is the ketchup and mustard cables, but I did find a quick fix for it. I used some gaffer tape to hide the nasty cables and I kind of painted the 24-pin cable as well. I used a thin brush and I painted over each cable individually and it actually turned out really good and finally, we are throwing all of this inside the dark flash dlm 21. Now this case is starting to get really popular in the US because of how much it offers for the price.
You get a good looking micro ATX case with a tempered glass panel, which swings open by the way, and you get three USB ports up top great cable management support and a PSU shroud, all that for only fifty five bucks. The main downside with this case is that it doesn’t come with any fans which, honestly I prefer it, because then you have the choice of adding in your own fans that way everything matches inside your PC. Now, since the case doesn’t come with any fans, I decided to go with some RGB ones, to kind of give it a bit of color. These cost thirty dollars, and you get three RGB fans, and the reason why I went with these ones in particular, was because of the high reviews and the fact that you don’t need a fan header on your motherboard to hook them up.
It actually comes with it’s very own fan hub, so all you would need to do is plug all the fans into it and then connect it to your power supplies. Sata power, cable. You can then control the lighting and the speed of the fans through the remote and personally, I think it makes a system look way cooler. However, if you’re not into RGB – and you want to save some money, I highly recommend buying these from Amazon instead, which i think is currently the best value you can find. When it comes to case fans, you get a total of five 120-millimeter fans for only seventeen dollars. That is an insane deal.
However, since the motherboard only has one extra fan header, you can’t necessarily plug all of these in you will need to buy a fan hub that costs ten dollars, and this will give you an extra five fan headers. I didn’t want to build inside the white case because it’s not gon na match the color scheme and you guys know how I get with color schemes, but the black one unfortunately was out of stock, and this is the only one that I get my hands on. But I’m gon na build inside here anyways, because I want to show you guys, thermals and stuff, it’s practically the same case.
It’S just a different color. The total cost of this entire system is a little under six hundred fifty dollars, plus the cost of your windows. Alright, so I want to talk about this, build a little bit for those of you who are interested in building this exact same PC, as you saw in the gaming benchmarks, it pretty much kicks ass in every game. You can expect to achieve over 100 fps and high settings, even in triple-a titles with really great temps. But should you build this or should you wait? The biggest question you need to ask yourself is how important is B 550 for you question number one: are you planning on upgrading to in these new 4000 series CPUs which are launching at the end of this year in September, because if you are those new CPUs Will not work on B 450 motherboards, they will only work on B, 550 and X. 570 question number two: how important is PCI Gen 4, for you? Are you planning on using any high speed and a/b mes as these to take advantage of PCI jenefor speeds? If you answered yes to one or both of those questions, then my advice to you is to wait for B 550 to arrive. They are rumored to start at $ 100, but the good ones will probably cost around $ 120 or more, which will increase the overall cost of your build, but on the upside you are future proofing your system, so you kind of have to weigh your options. Are you willing to wait and spend a little bit more to future-proof your system or you don’t care about future upgrade ability, and you just want to game now – that’s pretty much what it comes down to either way. I’M super happy with this bill that actually came out better than I expected the modern SSD blends really well with the system.
I basically used some white vinyl and I wrapped it, but then it kind of looked a bit too plain for me. So I decided to add a small design to it. I got some painters tape and a black sharpie and I used it to color the stripes on the SS. But when I pulled off the tape, I noticed that the ink got through the tape somehow so then I used a ruler to fix it up, and then I got the marker again to straighten up the lines on the sides and of course we got the case.
I think I’ve built over 100 pcs so far and I’m gon na go on record and say that this case is currently my all-time favorite budget case under 100 dollars. It’S that good, it has cutouts in all the right places for cable management. The front panel comes off, making it really easy to install fans or radiators in, and I just love how easy it is to swing open the side panel and it just looks so damn clean. I was a bit worried about air flow when I first saw the case, because there are only cutouts on one side of the case and the cutouts are pretty small.
But surprisingly, they are enough to keep the components, nice and cool, and I’m only using three fans to intake and one exhaust well yeah.
