Let me just do a quick Time Hop, let’s flash back to January at CES, I was tired. I was exhausted, but I was also super excited to check out the latest in the shocks. Lineup I’ve been using shocks at my house now for probably two years. These are my wife’s favorite PA pair of headphones, but a few months after CES. Those products that I saw that were new that were announced that were just coming out have finally come out, and I’m teaming up with shocks who’s actually sponsoring this video to Showcase. Some of the best headphones and I call them ear accessories that you need to know about in 2024, all right. So if the shock’s name sounds familiar, you might be living in my house or it might be because they’ve been a leader in the sort of headphone earbud space for many many years have developed uh a really Stellar reputation, particularly for the opene headphones and I’ve shown Off the shocks open fit in a previous video same for the open run Pro now I get to check out the latest in the lineup. Let me introduce you to my friend the open, Fit air, as name suggest.
The big draw here of these airbuds is there open, fit kind of Airy nature. They do not go in your ears, hole they not going to create that pressure Sensation that kind of can become uncomfortable. They are slim and lightweight enough for you to probably forget to even have them on most of the time, and for somebody like me, that is a giant deal. I’Ve talked about this um.
I had ear surgery on my ears as a kid on both my ears. Actually, when I was like seven years old and I have scarring in the back of my ears and wearing things that kind of go in and put pressure on, the back of my ears hurts. I have to be really careful kind of headphones. I wear, as I generally can only wear them for 20, 20 or 30 minutes. The reason that I use shocks all the time and I’ve been using them consistently because they don’t hurt my ears, and that is because shocks focuses very heavily on Comfort. The design.
That’S meant to be flexible and kind of fold around the curve of the your ear. So, even if you don’t have scars in the back of your ear, if they’re comfortable somebody that does you know that they’re going to be very comfortable for you and they’re, using an Adaptive air kind of ear, hook and kind of ergonomic dual bevel Edge, not only To keep things comfortable by limiting sort of pressure on your ear, I think that’s what gives me the issue, but also give you a really secure and snug fit, so you can jump around Bounce Around mess around with your kids if you want without them, falling off. So definitely have a green light if you want to take these things on a run, the other big draw of open Fit air is that its Open Air Design allows you to hear the world around. You there’s definitely a time and a place for noise cancellation. Those are awesome like on an airplane being able to enjoy music or a podcast and still hear your surroundings, something I’ve really come to appreciate, uh with the shocks open, lineup and with a lot of headphones that have noise cancelling but pipe in ambient noise. If you’re going for a run or you’re moving, it’s also piping in wind noise.
So something like what shock is doing here. You don’t have that wind noise getting piped into your ears, so I can’t talk about headphones without talking about. Obviously sound quality happy to report that listening experience is absolutely superb. Shocks.
Is a bunch of tech built into to the open, Fit air like direct pitch and open Base air. That’S levels Crystal Clear, sound and thumping base right into your ears and the custom driver Dynamic unit PIR. The shock companion app allows you to dial in, like your EQ and listing experience to exactly how you’d like it and when I wear these. When I go running when I go walking around my house, I’m not usually thinking about any of that technology.
I just describe um, but it sounds really good in my ear, which is crazy, cuz they sit like here and they’re, not in your ear uh. It seems like a little bit of I don’t know technical magic, I suppose, but it just sounds really good. That’S the best endorsement that I can give these. Is they just sound, really good you’ll forget about all those sort of technology and cool things that are inside of them and all of that cool technology? That’S inside of it is pair with the really intuitive touch controls, quad, mic array, so great for phone calls.
Ip54 protection after 28 hours of listening when paired with the charging case, the open fit airs, really compelling all inone solution, especially if you want comfortable earbuds with really good sound quality want to be able to hear your surroundings. These are excuse, my pun, a shockingly good choice, all right, so I promise this is not like a setup. This is legitimately how my kitchen is set up. Uh we’ve got this pixel tablet that we use my wife and I are making dinner, we’ll pull it off, and the kids can kind of watch TV or do whatever they’re doing, and these are always on our ears.
We can listen to the content, but also you know, hear uh what’s going on around us uh, but that’s all fine and good. We use those headphones all the time, but also like it’s summer and and spending a lot of time outside. We just built a pool while I love the shock’s headphones to kind of have them inside.
They got something else. Pretty cool, but CH isn’t like stopping there. Temperature is heating up it’s getting warmer, probably looking for a way to cool down.
If you want to able to swim and to listen to your music, maybe a podcast or audiobook, or listen to your favorite YouTuber, for example uh. This is for you meet my other friend. The open swim Pro is taking things to really the next level like a deeper level. Uh submerging your ears with great audio, as you are like pretty deep underwater, so open swim Pro is taking shock’s best tech to the extreme, with an ip68 waterproof rating that allows it to be submerged to up to 2 m of water for 2 hours. It’S got a tripled seal design that keeps all the components safe, so go ahead.
Jump in the pool go for that swim. These can handle all the water plus a ton more so one of my favorite features open swim Pro is that you can stream audio to it via Bluetooth or even store MP3s directly on the device itself, and then, when you think about it, I this makes a Ton of sense, if you’re out, adventuring or just swimming laps in your pool, you might not want to worry about like where your phone is placed to get distracted from income notifications and with 32 G of internal storage. You can load up plenty of stuff on this.
You’Ve got physical buttons for controls. You can make your media adjustments in between laps really really easily. Now, in all fairness, these just came in like these are just coming out, so I’ve not had a chance sort of use them for years, but these will be on my ears over the summer uh in the morning I like to jump in the pool and try To swim, laps for some cardio and I’ve never been able to listen to anything.
While I do it being able to have these on my head is, I can keep up with my audiobooks, which I listen to exclusively in the car, while I’m swimming and also while I’m swimming, should I get a phone call or something I can still answer those Important things and then get back uh to my workout and to be clear even with the name swim, these are still just allaround great sort of headphones uh. They have the same open, a design, let you enjoy music uh, but you still hear what’s going on plus a nickel titanium, alloy headband that keeps these really comfortable in place, whether you’re, walking running, jumping or swimming. Now, when we film this video, so I use them in the pool I probably had these on for about 45 – maybe minutes an hour uh.
While we were filming uh in the pool in and out, and I didn’t have any ear pain behind my ear. So, thank you to shocks again for comfortable headphones and all the Comfort aside. These also have premium pitch 2.0 technology going to deliver really clear, sound and Rich base than shocks is slowly becoming known for so, if you are looking to kind of up your wireless earbud game, you owe it to yourself check out the latest from shocks and look. I get it, you look at these things and they look different you’re used to earbuds that are going in your ear or big over ear headphones.
I was very much the same way and you’re looking at things that are sitting kind of outside of your ear, and the first thought is: there’s zero chance that these are going to sound good. I can tell you from experience these sound, absolutely incredible if you’re ever in a spot, where you can try them for yourself. That’S the best endorsement I can give is try a pair of shocks, uh and you will not be disappointed and you’re also getting the benefit of really lightweight comfortable headphones have incredible battery life. It.
Let you hear what’s going on around you. Shocks has done an amazing job over the years. What they’ve done now with the open, Fit air and the open swim Pro are insanely impressive and if you want to check them out, they’re available on shocks.com Amazon even Best Buy.
