SpinBots

SpinBots

Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “SpinBots”.
So so, what’s going on here for the viewers it, this is spin bots, which is a little workshop, robot workshop, where kids can build their own robot that produces art, a very simple, 20 minutes low workshop session. We have, and the kids can come over here and test out their robotic creations and the idea is to teach kids what a circuit is, how to control motor, how to turn on and off and see what they can do with it. And we have this kit of parts that you can zip tie together and rubber band together. That does robotic art. It’S very simple circuit. It’S a motor powered by battery controlled by switch and the kids actually have to put the wires together to complete the circuit, and they zip tie them in position. So it’s basically like a spinning tripod. A motor is touching the ground and two pins are touching the ground, and so when you turn it on it spins and does a really cool procession pattern kind of like a for the old school spira graphs and you can change the pin color out. You can put paint brushes in there. We have a one that goes on the floor. You can put chalking it and just great cement, chalk art this one is the light. One where you can do is turn down the lights in house and take pictures of it and does great light painting. Some really really cool smeared circular light painting – and we offer some robotic workshops not here, but the kids learn to add another motor.

So they make a drive by wire one, so they can make their own dirty words. I mean patterns on the on the paper. You know, and then you switch out the two switches with a Arduino and now the kids can program their patterns.

Alright. Well thanks! So much you’re welcome. Thank you. Have a great fair! You too, .
