The eu is in a bit of a pickle, especially the big tech firms. The eu is about to announce new rules for big tech, and there is not much they can do about it. The digital services act is due to be presented in early december and it is expected to overhaul the management of content on platforms like google and facebook, but here’s the trick.
It is the first of its kind since the year 2000. So that’s been 20 years and we’re finally getting an update. The big picture is this: the eu wants to make tech giants more responsible for the content on their platform and to ensure that competitors have a fair chance to succeed against the big firms. The new rules will require digital services, especially the biggest platforms, to be open about the way they shape the digital world that we see they’ll have to report on what they’ve done to take down illegal material. They’Ll have to tell us how they decide on what information and products to actually recommend to us and which ones they hide and give us the consumer the ability to influence those decisions. In a nutshell, these rules are asking these massive tech firms to disclose their algorithms, which naturally, they do not want to do. Google actually has already voiced its concern, and these regulations are expected to hit facebook, amazon and apple, as well as some smaller players as well.
Remember all the hype about the rtx 30 80 20 gig card. Well, it seems that nvidia has finally finalized the specifications for its new enthusiast graphics card, wait for it. Because sapphire is teasing its radeon rx 6800 xt nitro, the sapphire nitro 5700 xt graphics card has to be one of tech’s favorite amd cards. So if you are looking to pick up a radeon, rx 6800 xt then definitely keep your eye out for the nitro card.
