Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Ready. Set. Cereal!”.
Hi, I’m Emma Fletcher, I’m with rocket department from Sacramento California, and we brought Ready, Set cereal Ready Set. Cereal is an automated cereal dispenser. You place an order from a web app and you can choose from three different types of cereal. Once you place a bowl on the stand and as a light sensor, it will sense the bowl and then dispense your cereal and also the spoon dispenser and there’s a milk dispenser too. We made it for a hackathon, actually cereal hack for in Sacramento. You don’t have to do a serial related hack, but we want to do something really fun and exciting in 30 hours. So that’s what we built when people see the cereal machine first they’re a little confused and then they get really excited.
I like to get the fruity pebbles and the proof to get a little, and then you get the bigger loops combined. The raspberry pi is used to drive the stepper motors. It also pulls the order from a MySQL database. So that’s how we track all the orders. Coming in and it also controls the light sensor, the temperature sensor for the milk and the servo motor for the spoon dispenser .
