Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Put the Internet on Your Radio With This Internet Radio Rebroadcaster”.
Internet radio is a great way to listen to stations from all around the world. However, listening these stations isn’t usually very easy. Most people would recommend to just hook your computer directly up to your speakers, but that results in a rassonets of wires and is a time-consuming process. Today, we’re going to use a raspberry pi to rebroadcast an internet radio stream over the fm band for this build you’re going to need a raspberry pi and an adafruit fm transmitter for full instructions on the project be sure to visit the project page over at makescene.com. Go slash, rebroadcaster, we’ll start off the build by soldering female jumper wires to the fm board and then connecting them to the raspberry pi. We will also solder on some 18 gauge wire to the antenna port on the fm transmitter. Now we need to look for an open frequency on the fm band. I’D recommend using a high powered radio such as the one in your car, then we’ll ssh into the pi download the files required for the project change which frequency the project broadcasts on enable.
