OnePlus 10 Pro Unboxing - Their Best Camera Yet?

Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “OnePlus 10 Pro Unboxing – Their Best Camera Yet?”.
Thanks to oneplus for sponsoring today’s video, what’s going on guys, travis consumer and today we are finally checking out the new oneplus 10 pro now oneplus sent over the emerald forest version, which you guys know super pumped about for obvious reasons: uh. But first let’s talk about what you get in the box. If you pick one of these up and everything else, you need to know about this now. My box is probably a little bit different from yours, since i’ve got the pr version, but when we get to the actual phones, box should look just like yours, but inside of this big box comes with this, pretty dope photo sample of a shot taking on the Oneplus 10, pro, which i thought was pretty cool but under here, is where you get access to two cases. One’S got this smooth feel with this cybernetic look kind of like the innards of a oneplus phone. I think that one’s pretty dope, but we’ve also got the more traditional sandstone case, which i absolutely love.

This thing is super comfortable to hold in the hand very grippy, definitely one of the best first party cases that you can get on a phone today, thanks to that super nice feeling material, but now, let’s get to the actual phone unboxing once you pop this thing, Open you’ll, of course, get access to some paperwork things we’re all familiar with, as well as some stickers. So if you’re into that, we’ve got that here and then we get to that beautiful emerald forest 10 pro which we’ll put to the side for a second underneath that you’ve got, of course, your charger. I believe they dropped the warp charging name and now it’s super vook, that’s a little different, but you still get those insanely fast charging speeds, but now back to the phone once you take this thing out the wrapper.

I personally think this is one of the best oneplus looking phones in a really long time. Obviously i might be a little bit biased, but you can’t lie this. Color looks really good. I think the oneplus 7 pro was at the top of my list in terms of oneplus designs.

I think that one was really good, especially thanks to that pop-up selfie camera. It was amazing, but this one i feel like this one looks very 2022 with the whole camera cutout system camera. The seven pro did have the pop-up camera for the selfie.

That one feels like more 2020 yeah but yeah yeah. I wish they would bring it back. Honestly, if they had this system with the pop-up, listen oneplus bring it back. It was amazing, that’s neither here nor there uh. This one does still have a very sleek look. I like the design of the camera housing.

The camera modules are all covered in ceramic, so they should be 30 more durable than the previous. It’S a triple camera system, even though you see like four circles uh the last one is, of course, for the flash and you’ve got that hasselblad branding all at the top. With this emerald forest color, it’s fingerprint resistant, so you can go ahead and smudge it up.

If you want you’re not going to see any fingerprints, it also comes in another color called volcanic black. That one’s also got like this matte finish, so you don’t really have to worry about fingerprints. I think this is one of the best oneplus designs in a long time. Let me know what you guys think.

Is there a better one that you can think of? I don’t believe there is, but you guys, let me know in the comments now we do get a lot of familiar design elements here. On the right side, we’ve got the alert slider, which is still one of the best implementations of like muting, your phone or putting it in vibrate mode, as well as the power button on the right side and on the left, standard volume, controls which feel pretty good And, of course, on the bottom, we’ve got a usbc port. Now this is usbc 3.1, as well as your sim card slot at the bottom, pretty typical stuff, nothing too crazy. Now, in terms of specs, let’s talk about what you get with this guy right.

So, of course, first thing being the 6.7 inch quad hd plus display. Now this thing is being powered by the new snapdragon 8 gen 1 processor. So it’s the latest and greatest on the market. Now we’ve also got 8 gigs of ram 128 gigs of storage. Over here and of course, you know, we get a 5 000 milliamp hour battery now, interestingly enough, there are two cells in here, so it’s split and this thing charges really really quickly. So not only are you getting a massive battery here, but it also charges really fast so with the included charger, which is a 65 watt charger, and that thing can charge this from one to 100 and i believe 37 minutes we’re at this point now you guys, Where, if your phone does not charge from zero to 100 in less than an hour, your phone, your phone manufacturer’s slacking, because this kind of charging speed completely changes. The way you think about battery life when you’re using your phone, especially when it’s got a high capacity.

Like 5 000 milliamp hours and, of course, has all the features you would expect from a flagship level device, so you got that built-in fingerprint scanner that face unlock, which i think oneplus has one of the fastest they’ve had one of the fastest for a long time. I mean guys it’s like it’s like instant, yeah, jay cause. Look, you can see with the front-facing camera.

You see that light up. You see it’s too quick for you jay. Now, of course, one of the biggest selling points for this phone is going to be the camera system, so this is oneplus second round with hasselblad that kind of takes hasselblad’s input into what the images should look like, and i got ta say the photos that i’ve Been able to get out of this phone are some of the best i’ve ever been able to get out of a oneplus camera, so we’re seeing really nice steady improvements in their camera quality.

Obviously, it’s a huge focus for oneplus and we’re actually starting to see that play out in the images that we’re getting from this now. Of course, we have a primary wide angle: camera with 48 megapixels, an ultrawide with 50 megapixels and a 150 degree field of view, as well as an 8 megapixel telephoto lens. It’S a little bit surprising that the telephoto is only 8 megapixels when we’ve got like 50 and 48, but it still does a pretty decent job and if you’ve seen any of my real day in the live videos you guys know for me.

I take a lot of photos indoors with human subjects. Of course, my son austin being my biggest subject these days, so i’m always looking for a camera that works well in lighting situations that aren’t always ideal. You know. Sometimes you got like just a single ceiling light on, but you still want to be able to capture good photos while inside and i’ve found that this thing has done a really solid job representing the colors skin tones everything that i tend to pay attention to. In those kind of shots, just did a really really good job at there’s, actually, a really good amount of depth of field in most of these photos – and that’s thanks to this thing, having an f 1.8 aperture. So you get a lot of light in as well as that nice shallow depth of field to help it look really professional. Now for the everyday average consumer. I feel like it’s gon na, be pretty simple to get really good shots, but it does have a pro mode, which is where you really start to see that hasselblad implementation come in. So in that pro mode, you of course get access to all kinds of tools and specific controls that a pro camera user would really use, and that is really where you start to see. The biggest influence from hasselblad you’ve got 12-bit raw photos and you start to see hasselblad’s color science creep in a little bit more. We’Ve got some pretty good shots in that mode. It’S actually really impressive and while you see the influence in the colors a bit in the natural colors of regular photos, you see it the most when you go into those 12-bit raw photos from the pro mode.

Now, for me personally, not a huge selfie taker, but you do have your 32 megapixel selfie punch out camera right in the front. So if you do like selfies, you do have access to that. For me, my experience has been pretty solid with it like. I said not a huge selfie guide, but you do have a solid selfie camera here.

If that’s your thing now, of course, on the video side of things, you’re able to get some pretty solid video, this thing shoots all the way up to 8k resolution, but it caps out at 24 frames per second, but if you want higher than that, you can Go into the 4k mode where you get access to 30fps, 60fps and even 120. If you want some of those really nice slow shots. Now i know in the past the camera wasn’t always the strong point for a oneplus phone. But now i do feel like that’s beginning to change.

They’Ve got legitimate cameras that do a really good job and when you guys see the photos for yourself, i’m actually really impressed by what these things can achieve. So now, let’s talk about the software and the experience with performance right. So this thing is running android 12 with oxygen os 12.1. So it feels very much like a oneplus phone.

You get access to a ton of customization. That’S that oneplus feel it feels very much like a bare bones version of android, but with a lot of customization under the hood. That’S kind of like oneplus thing gives you that pretty natural android feel which feels very snappy and easy to use, not to mention the phone having a 120hz refresh rate scrolling through and doing pretty much anything that you would normally do feels really good and, what’s great, Is that it’s adaptive and it can go all the way as low as one hertz? So, if you’re not doing anything special on the phone like right now, probably going at one hertz to conserve battery life, uh, so you’re getting the maximum amount of battery that you can, while using it and with the 5 000 milliamp hour battery.

I’M telling you guys this thing lasts all day easily unless you’re like a huge mobile, gamer like me, okay, then you could do some damage and since we’re talking about gaming, everything i’ve thrown at it has been no problem at all. You guys know me. I just put my little sonic games here and there no issues whatsoever – and i know a lot of you guys – are like listen, try, gentian impact, even though it’s not the best optimized game for android.

I threw that thing on its max settings and it’s had a lot between 45 and like 53 frames per second, which is actually pretty solid, and if you cap it at 30, you know you can kind of just lock in there and get pretty smooth performance uh. But for genjen impact, surprisingly handled it really well and with a nice big screen like this, of course, was a nice experience. So overall i got ta say guys. I like the direction oneplus is going now. This thing is priced at 8.99, which is actually cheaper than the previous version. I think they came out the gates a little bit higher last year compared to what they’re doing with the 10 pro.

I think it’s at a solid place with that 8.99 price tag. It’S in that flagship territory, but it handles everything. You’D want a flagship to do pretty well, definitely a solid option and if you’re a oneplus owner, i think, even compared to last year’s model. This is definitely worth the upgrade just in terms of the overall camera performance. If you care about cameras uh, this is definitely going to do you well, but that about wraps up this video guys. Hopefully you enjoyed it.

Hopefully this gave you some good insight into what it’s like with the oneplus 10 pro. Let me know what you guys think if you guys already own it. What are your thoughts? Let me know with a comment down below i’ll, of course, have links to this down below as well i’ll catch you guys in the next article till then it’s your average consumer peace, oh yeah, that there’s only a 10 pro didn’t even mention that. But this is the only model available right now, so it’s they’re all just pro now, why go? Why go for the 10 when you just start at the pro? Why not we’re all pros .
