It’S that time of the year again, where gamers can save a lot of money on computers, intel has reached out and sponsored this video, so that i can tell you guys about intel gamer days 2020.. You know a lot of us are still stuck at home and what better way to pass the time than enjoy some of our favorite games, because gaming allows you to do a lot. You can immerse yourself in different stories, learn new skills and get that valuable alone time. You can even stay in touch with your friends and family.
I just think it’s the perfect way to get through these times. When you think about it, the better your device performs the better you can play record and stream. So that’s why you expect a lot from your device. This is one of the laptops you can buy during the event, so this is the asus rog strix. It’S an entry-level 15-inch gaming laptop with intel’s latest 10th gen i7 processor, which offers more efficiency and performance over last gen. We also got 16 gigs of ram in here, along with the nvidia geforce gtx 1650 ti graphics card. With this configuration i was able to game comfortably over 100 fps on less intensive titles like cs, go and valorent.
As you can see, i’m constantly hitting around 140 fps, and this is with high settings by the way i didn’t lower the quality at all. So, even if you are a competitive gamer, you can definitely take advantage of the high frames, because this laptop has a 144hz display which isn’t common for entry-level gaming laptops. So that’s awesome.
Speaking of the display, you get this really good-looking 15-inch v-ips display with really thin bezels and pretty good viewing angles compared to a traditional tn panel. So i’m playing for about 30 minutes or so and the fan started kicking in as you guys can probably hear, but the temps are looking really good fans are doing a really good job, keeping the temps down the gpu staying around 62 degrees c, while the cpu Staying well under 70c – and this is full fan, speed by the way frame, wise, we’re actually doing really good as well we’re getting close to 200 fps in some areas, so we’re definitely taking advantage of the 144 hertz refresh rate on the monitor. Oh, my god, i killed him through this guy.
Let’S even get the last kill. Oh no! Oh my god, nice. You also get 512 gigabytes of storage from their m.2 ssd, but you can always upgrade that whenever you want by simply removing the back cover of the laptop and disconnecting the cables. One of the things that we like about this laptop is this really cool, uh, rgb underglow that goes across the bottom of the keyboard deck and that’s also synced. In with the keyboard’s back lighting, i have seen a lot of rgb integrations on laptops before, but i got ta say this: one is my favorite, because i think it’s not only unique, but it’s done really well. Now there are a few shortcuts on the arrow keys, allowing you to change the colors and effects.
However, if you want more options, it’s best to use the armor crate software to customize it the way you want. I also like that i can control the fan settings through here as well, which is a nice plus in terms of connectivity. You do get a set of three usb ports on one side next to the audio jack, and then you have your ethernet hdmi out and usb c in the back, which isn’t thunderbolt 3 compatible by the way. This is definitely more on the budget side of laptops.
However, if you require more power, then you’ll be pleased to find out that there will be plenty of pc deals on intel’s core i9 processors as well.
