Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Need for Speed – GTX 750 TI – Game Performance – Intel i3-4170 – ASUS M32AD”.
Hello and welcome to tech deals today. Game performance review time Need for Speed. This is the newest 2015 version. This came out just late last year that we’re going to be playing on.
This is Zeus: M 32 ad desktop computer, but wait we’ve upgraded this machine. This is not the factory configuration there will be two links in the video description below the first one is my review of the factory machine as it comes out of the box, and the second will be the upgrade I added 8 gigabytes of RAM, bringing the total To 16 and I added a nvidia geforce gtx 750ti dedicated gaming graphics card. That’S a mouthful! In short, it’s a 100-hour graphics card added to a 300 ish dollar computer for under $ 500.
Let’S see how well it plays the brand-new online multiplayer Need for Speed. Now this is the one that is always online and I really wish they wouldn’t do this you’d think they would have learned their lesson from SimCity, but you know hey what could we say I’ll come here to graphics settings? We are playing at full HD. 1080P. Vertical sync is off.
If you look up here, you’ll see our fraps counter running, so you can see the performance I am going to set the texture quality to medium motion blur on shadow quality I’ll leave it low ambient occlusion I’ll turn to SSAO effect, detail to medium geometry, detail to Medium anti-aliasing to fullscreen, FXAA and we’ll hit enter and see how well this does now closing that, let’s take a look and see how well this plays – and here we are we’re currently running at about 50 frames per second we’re gon na X. The garage and go drive around and see how well this plays. I will say this game has some of the best water effects on the street that I can imagine. I don’t think I’ve ever seen as good a water effects. I’Ve seen in this game when I first saw the driving I was like wow.
That looks real. I wonder if one of these days, they’re just gon na stop shooting movies in real life and just make them all animation, because the graphics keep getting so good. 60 frames, a second we’ll see if that holds up now I set the details on all to medium. I did turn on in and Edison. I did turn on a number of detail.
Features we’ll see how well this works. Wow, that’s not bad 50 frames a second. I’M going to hit f11 now and it’s going to start a fraps record. It will record two minutes of gameplay and we will see what kind of performance to expect.
I love how you get reputation for smashing stuff. That doesn’t make any sense to me. Look at the water on the street, it’s gorgeous absolutely gorgeous.
I crashed the reflections, are beautiful, I’m sure it’s even prettier if you turn the details up to high, but frankly it looks pretty darn good to me. I don’t know how you get it any prettier, totally controllable, I’m pressing keys and the game responds instantly to the keys that I press there’s. Certainly no issues of controllability.
It’S smooth well smooth as my personal game playing is anyway. Oh there’s another real person, because this is one of those online always games. There are other real people playing oops. I crashed and drifted.
Oh well. I don’t claim you. This needs a wheel or a gamepad with an analog controller, doing this with a keyboard. Frankly, it’s a challenge with a keyboard. That’S for sure! Oh, that’s, not a good idea! Driving down train tracks, you don’t suppose I’ll run into a train. Do you alright, our framerate counter came back. So the question is: how well do you think that did let’s go? Take a look – and here we are at the results – I will admit – I’m surprised it felt smoother than this. We had an average of 45 frames per second with a minimum of 34 and a max of 54.
It didn’t feel that slow, it actually felt closer to 60 frames. A second I’m genuinely shocked. Usually I can get a feel for what kind of frame rate to expect it. It was completely controllable.
Why don’t we do one more? Let’S go back over to the game and I’m gon na set the details. Just a bit differently settings graphic settings: let’s do this! I’M gon na leave texture quality at medium because, frankly, texture quality matters motion blur I’ll turn off shadow quality, I’ll leave it low and being inclusion geometry anti-aliasing, I’m gon na turn off anti-aliasing because it certainly takes up a horsepower geometry detail. You know what I’ll turn that to low: let’s try this one more time, f11, then feel any different, but who knows Lexy if the actual numbers – and this is why I’ve started, recording it because, frankly, just watching the number doesn’t always tell you the true story. Sometimes you need to see that minimum maximum and average to get a better idea of what it’s doing. I love the fact that it gives you points for crashing into stuff.
Your car would never survive all this, but we’ll ignore that detail. Yes, I know I’m so ooh. Ok, those are not smashable.
What’S interesting is in the last Need for Speed game. Your car would explode if you crashed into stuff at the speed Need for Speed Most Wanted. I think that was the last one. Unless rivals was the last one, one of those two was the last one, but in Need for Speed Most Wanted. If you crashed at this, I spoke too soon. Apparently I haven’t crashed enough.
Yet what the heck do? I know I have not played this game. All that much I mean I’m still in the early early stages and frankly, ooh got hurt. Your car doesn’t get very damaged, though I have been involved in a couple of police chases. I did manage to get away from the cops which was kind of cool. I got a bunch of reputation for that.
Oh ok, you know some things you can smash through and others you can’t. I like smashing stuff. It’S probably why I like grand theft, auto 5, so much horses for courses page down except escape decline.
Well, we’re not going to do that because we’re just driving around crashing trying to get a feel for the performance of this game and there we go. Our frame counter came back up. Let’S close that and we’ll reopen it now. The top one is the first set of numbers. You know it didn’t change much. I’M dropping some of the details down and getting rid of anti aliasing uh. We went from 45 frames a second average to 49 minimum or 34 to minimum 38, we’ll need for speed.
2015 play on this a zoo, 732 ad computer with a GTX 750 graphics card in it. Yes, it will will it play at steady 60 frames, a second not really well, I haven’t tried turning every detail off. It was smooth enough.
You can probably get some more performance out of it. It probably could use one notch higher of equipment in order to be super smooth, but it was very playable. I had no issues of control. That decision is entirely up to you.
