National Maker Faire: Hot Wheels

National Maker Faire: Hot Wheels

Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “National Maker Faire: Hot Wheels”.
Alright, i’m here at national maker faire in the Hot Wheels booth with Liz and she’s, going to tell us a little bit about what you can do. If you come here with your kids, you can come and decorate your own car race it on our track. You can actually construct and build your own car race it on our track, and then you can go head-to-head with other kids around and you can experiment and test all the different stunts and loops and race head-to-head with each other. That sounds great Liz, but I also know that Hot Wheels has a foundation and a new partnership can tell us a little bit more about that sure. We recently partnered with the University of Southern California, as well as our own Mattel Children’s Foundation, to put together a totally free to use math and science curriculum using playing with Hot Wheels, cars and tracks to learn physics.

We’Re really excited about it. It’S completely free and online on Hot Wheels, calm, /, speedometer II, and it’s really a resource there to help teachers supplement their curriculum with new lesson plans in a way, that’s really hands-on and fun. It sounds like a great program, and I just want to thank you for coming to National Maker Faire. If you happen to be in the DC area, this weekend be sure to stop on by and see Liz and build your own Hot Wheels.
