In this microsoft, word quick tip, i’m going to show you how to quickly add lorem ipsum text to your document. You wouldn’t believe over the years how many times i have typed in pointless letters or numbers into a document like this, just to have some sort of text in my document that i can use to demonstrate different features of microsoft word or to demonstrate how to indent Or to use microsoft word to properly write a paragraph or a line, the text different things like that, as a language arts teacher, i’ve had to do that a lot and also in showing people how to use technology. So one solution for that is to search the internet and find a lorem ipsum document, and then you copy paste the lorem ipsum text into your document and it’s basically nonsense words in latin, but at least you have some text that you can use and manipulate and Use to show examples: well, there’s a little-known built-in feature in microsoft word that will automatically generate lorem ipsum text for you in your document when you’re ready to add the lorem ipsum text. All you have to do is type equals, lorem and then left parenthesis and then put in a number representing how many paragraphs you would like. So i would like seven paragraphs comma and then how many sentences per paragraph, how about five and then i put my right parenthesis tap enter on the keyboard and microsoft.
Word creates lorem ipsum text pretty meaningless text, but, as you can see, i have seven paragraphs and each paragraph has one two three four five sentences in it and that quickly, i’m able to now show my students how to highlight how to underline or whatever it might Be without having to just type in random letters, so i hope you found this microsoft word quick tip to be helpful.
