Mole-a-Whack

Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Mole-a-Whack”.
Uh, my name is matt gilbert, and i am here with the lawrence hall of science. Behind us is molowak. This is a project created uh with our tech hive teen interns. That’S a teen internship program. At the lawrence hall.

We have 35 teens, so between 14 and 18 years old uh, they they come in every saturday and they work on a whole range of engineering projects. We build camps, we build classes, we build exhibits at the uh at the tech hive, and this is the this is the project that we made specifically for maker. There’S three steps to this project. The first step is, you need to build.

A button. Button looks like this: it’s very simple anybody can make it and then you need to test your button. So we’ve built a series of test stations, those were all created by our tech hive, teen interns and then, if your button works, you get to step over here and play molowac and molowack is an interactive game. Uh, where you get to play whack-a-mole but sort of in reverse, where the mole is hunting you, instead of you, hunting, wolves.

This is our third time. This is lawrence hall of science’s third time at maker faire and uh. We always have a great time. It’S a great community here and we’re really excited .
