Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Magnetic Dancing Trees”.
My name is david derlock and i’m from the somerville massachusetts area near boston and um. I run a small design studio called technofrolics for 25 years before the maker community really was a community in the normal sense of that word, and i’m here today actually to introduce a new exciting for us and i think other people as well choreography environment for 3d. Physical sculptures, where people can use their own familiar video editor to control 3d real world devices. So what you’re, seeing here we have on display is the first really serious, high-tech artwork i ever made in 1989.
um, it’s made out of iron dust in a choreographed magnetic field, and what makes it really interesting is the fact that the technical work and the choreography Work are about evenly balanced and that leads to some interesting things: that’s cool, so technofrolics and its 25 plus year history, which includes a lot of high-tech art and interactive museum exhibits. They can find information at technofrolics.com and if they want to learn more about our new initiative for allowing familiar video editors to choreograph 3d physical artworks, they should go to coreyov.com a beta site and we’re planning to have a kickstarter campaign shortly and would love them to Be part of that, if they’re interested .
