Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “LG Display’s Coolest Tech at CES 2024!”.
We’Re here at CES 2024 talking about LG displays new Innovations. We have some really exciting new things that they’re doing in various markets, including gaming monitors, OLED TVs and even transparent, OLED TVs when it comes to gaming monitors. Refresh rates are really really important and you can get really high refresh rates when it comes to mini, LED displays. For example, we have 500 HZ up here, which is incredibly fast, and then we also have 360 HZ here, which is also really fast. The problem is is that your quality is going to go way down because you’re doing mini LED instead of OLED. But LG has solved that with this new world’s first OLED display with a 480 HZ refresh rate, obviously you’re going to face some issues because you’re going to need a graphics card that can both push out all that resolution and all of that uh all those frames. But at the same time, if you can handle it, this is now a monitor that can do it.
One of the most Innovative things LGS come up with is not actually a physical product, but it’s an iteration of their meta technology. This is a combination of two different things that can make your viewing experience on an OLED television, so so much better. The first component, we’re going to talk about with the new meta technology, is MLA plus this uses an algorithm to determine viewing angles, so it makes it so if you’re standing on one side of the TV, you can see the picture just as clearly as if you’re Standing in the front of it, the second component is the meta multi booster, this analyzes the image on the TV and automatically changes the brightness and color saturation to make it look as best as it possibly can.
These two things combined create a new viewing experience on OLED TVs. That LG thinks is going to be the best, perhaps LG’s. Most interesting.
Innovation, though, are these transparent, oleds, now you’re, probably not going to want a transparent, OLED TV in your home, but for businesses. This is really cool and you could start seeing this in maybe the mall or local shops in your Town. You’Ve got your transparent OLED up here that can show off what the product looks like and then you can see the physical product behind it.
This is a great representation here, how the OLED actually circles around the shoes to draw attention to them when you’re in the store. These are really cool once again, probably not something you’re going to want in your home, but if you did, you could come with all sorts of cool ways to present maybe photos or designs a fireplace anything like that in your home. Of course, what we all want to know is when we’re actually going to be able to get of this technology for ourselves.
Unfortunately, LG wasn’t able to tell us a lot of information, but we did learn that TVs with meta technology. 2.0 are coming in the second quarter of this year, so you can look forward to buying a new lgtv with those fancy new features sometime soon, .
