Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Lenovo K5 Note Review – Best Budget Smartphone of 2016?”.
It’S been a long time since I’ve been this excited to review a smartphone. I checked out the Lenovo k3 note almost two years ago now and absolutely loved it. So here’s my review of the lenovo k5 note that our disappoint Helmer, so the Lenovo k5 now is a really interesting smartphone, because at 150 dollars it’s easy to ignore. You could take one look at its spec sheet and then think it’s bang on average and move on, but you’d be making a huge mistake, because what lenovo has done here is transformed an average-looking specification sheet into something spectacular.
So the k5 note is a well built phone. It’S got a metal trim going around the edges and the rest of the body is completely plastic, which may be a bit of a turn-off, but I have to say it feels high-quality and makes the phone much lighter than it would otherwise be it’s comfortable. But most importantly, is really strong. You will not be able to even make this thing creak under the hood. We’Ve got the Helio p10, backed up by three gigabytes of RAM. So that’s all well and good. Those are good specifications, but it doesn’t do the K. 5. Note justice, because this thing is blazing fast – the level of responsiveness on this phone is pretty much unheard of.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen performance like this on a smart phone under $ 400 even playing games. The k5 note far out does other smartphones with exactly the same specifications. So lenovo has obviously done a great job with the optimization here. I couldn’t get a single game to make this phone glitch or start bugging out. Everything runs smoothly. The less demanding games will be at a smooth 60 frames per second and the more demanding ones hovering around the 30 mark was still smooth gameplay. The screen was another high point: it’s a 5.5 inch 1080p IPS panel and it’s got so much brightness that it’s even visible in broad daylight. The colors are saturated and with a PPI of 401, it’s tough to complain.
So then we have the camera and with a 13 megapixel sensor, yet again it would be so easy just to skip over to assume it’s exactly the same as all the others on the market. But it’s not when there’s plenty of lighting the detail is great. The phone handles HDR scenarios with not even a hitch. What surprised me more was that even in lower lighting conditions, when those lights start to go off even at night even indoors, the Lenovo k4 note consistently performs capturing sharp details with its fast shutter time.
It doesn’t have the widest aperture, so you need to move closer to objects to get that Birkett effect. But when you do it works and it works great. Even the front camera kind of surprised me a pretty tricky lighting scenario with no problems at all, and the video at 1080p is pretty sharp, but most of all more stable than I was expecting, and it goes from strength to strength because the speaker, although it is Rear-Facing which is not fantastic, produces crystal-clear vocals good instrumental separation has even got a kick in the bass Department.
Combine that with above-average volume and you’ve got a potent mix. The battery has a capacity of 3500 milliamp hours, which is not the biggest you can get for the price, but at the same time it’s well above average. If you play your cards right, you can still be getting yourself two full days of usage.
Even if you do go overloaded, you start gaming and downloading tons of stuff. You can still get yourself a full day with some to spare. I’M not a huge fan of the software on this thing, it’s very reminiscent of me why, just with slightly less customization. Having said that, though, it’s so light and fast that seconds after my first boot up, I was already flying through my tasks and I have to say there are some useful things in here. It’S got some funky gesture features as well as a built-in blue light filter.
The standard apps are kept to a minimum, there’s only about five or six and they’ve kept the really essential ones. I found myself using the candor and I fell in love with the keyboard. All sensors are packed neatly up top, as well as a notification LED, and the fingerprint scanner is great. It’S using fourth generation technology which, as well as all the other stuff, detects the depth of the ridges in your finger for added security. It’S fast and it’s slightly recessed, so you can feel exactly where it is so guys that is the Lenovo k5 note, and here there’s quite a bit to talk about the design.
Is nice and high-quality, but, to be honest, that’s probably the weakest thing about the smartphone. We’Ve got an awesome speaker, amazing camera and an insane amount performance and it’s all backed up by a very solid screen and battery life. So I have to say the Lenovo k5 note is definitely one of the best budget phones. I’Ve ever tried thanks a lot for watching i, mr who’s, the boss and i’m signing out [ Applause ], you .
