Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Jansno Electric Bike”.
But before we start, today’s video subscribe to our Channel hit the Bell notification icon and like share and comment to this video all right. Normally, this hill would be next to impossible to go up on your own, but this pedal assist is making it it’s a decent workout, but I’m still moving up. So I am here today with the Jansen electric bike and, as you can see, this box is huge. So I’m super excited about it.
So let’s start opening this box up. So there is a lot going on within this box now, but now that I do have the Box open, I can go ahead and start taking out the styrofoam and assembling my bike. All the directions are within your manual um, it’s fairly easy to assemble um, putting the pedals on putting the front tire on and getting everything hooked up uh. So I think we’re ready to go [ Applause ] now the nice thing about janso is that they sent us with plenty of tools. I have two of these tools. They give me four different sizes and they sent me Allen wrenches, also along with um some screwdrivers uh lug, nuts and uh another one of those tools again, and that was very helpful, because that meant that all I had to do was find some scissors to cut The zip ties I didn’t have to go searching for all my tools. I had them all right here now, some of the other things they also sent with this electric bike was they sent a phone mount.
It attaches right up to my handlebars up top here and I could stretch it out to uh attach my phone to which that will be very nice, because we all know that we use our phones for directions and everything else. They also sent me a um tire pump, which is always helpful to have, because right now my tires are flat. I will need to pump them up. They also sent along a bike lock, because this is an expensive bike. You do want to make sure that you keep it locked up and then I also have my charging batteries, because I have two batteries one here and one here and all of the keys I need. I have uh doubles of each set. So two of these go to the batteries to unlock them, and one of these goes to starting the actual bike up uh and these batteries, and these keys will allow me to unlock the battery so that I can charge so to be able to tell which key Goes to which lock uh! If you look at the silver part of the key you can see, it has some numbers on it and then look to the lock and match up the numbers. So this is my second battery here. It goes right here once you unlock it, you are able to slide it up and off that does allow for you to. If you wish to have a slightly lighter bike, you can travel without this battery.
You don’t always have to have this one on for it to be working. You do need to have this one charged and ready to work, so this is kind of like your second B battery. If this one is done, you’re ready to use this one then – and this keeps you going for that 120 mil, so we are going to charge up this bike, attach our phone hook and we will see what we think of it. [ Applause ].
Well, the assist is helping me while I pedal – and so I am able to go up this hill without too much effort, I’m still pedaling and getting a decent workout, but I’m going up a hill that traditionally would have been a pain to go up. If not almost impossible on your own Merit brakes work, there is some weight to it. So you’ll want to use that kickstand. Let’S see turn it back around see how she does going downhill, DEC, some breaking power, not bad, we’ll go up this way. The pedal assist. Does seem to take a second to kick in, but it’s not too bad.
It does kick in pretty nicely and right now now I’m fairly comfortably pedaling at I don’t know what grade this is 30 30 %, maybe okay. This is me purely using the throttle, not pedaling. It’S not super fast, but we are going straight up this hill with no pedal assist at all right now. This is pure throttle. This is a good spot to turn around okay, so we just put it into another gear and we’re just getting a little extra power there. So I’m going to give that a try for traffic. Look what all right! So I learned how to turn the assist up. Well, I can say from experience that that Hill is almost impossible to power up on a regular bike, but this assistance here cranked up to the five lowest gear. I was able to Pedal up that with without much issue at all. .
