It Started Here

Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “It Started Here”.
A portion of today’s video is sponsored by ankor every once in a while. A revolutionary product comes along that changes. Everything. This is the camera that changed the world. I think at this point there’s no denying the fact that the iPhone created a dent in the universe and completely changed the way that we record edit share and consume video. In 2009 there was no Instagram Snapchat or Tik. Tok YouTube was only 4 years old and on iOS had a TV icon that was pre-installed and if you are old enough to remember that we’re getting a little old, the iPhone 3GS, which we are recording on right now, was the first iPhone to officially support. Recording video in standard definition, 480p at 30 frames per second, with all auto controls, and just one thing to point out here we are using a separate, sound package. This is not the audio that you will hear from the iPhones in this article going forward.

The 3Gs was the first to record video and ultimately start the trend for what we now know as just recording video on the phone. That’S in your pocket, iPhone 4, which we are recording on right, now, came out in 2010 and stepped it up from SD to HD 720p at 30 frames per second. This phone had a lot going for it, but there was one key component that really made an impact, and that is the front-facing camera, and here we are on that front-facing camera. The sole component that was pitched for FaceTime would also allow for video and photo recording from the front-facing camera, and this changed everything utilizing.

It Started Here

The front-facing camera took off like a rocket, and now everybody uses this as their default way of taking photos and videos and like it or not, vertical video is here to stay as we can see with things like Tik Tok in 2011 we got the iPhone 4S, Which we are recording on right now and it took the video up a notch. Yet again we jumped up from 720p at 30 to 1080p at 30. The 4S naming was actually for Speed, it’s not for Siri, but I like to call it for Steve, because Steve passed right before this iPhone came out. I never personally owned an iPhone 4S.

My first iPhone was the iPhone 4. This iPhone 4S is my mom’s hello. Mom but boy did I want an iPhone 4S at the time iPhone 5 released in 2012 with an even better chip and Camera combo, but this time adding HD 720p to the front-facing camera and alongside that, the first increase in display size on the iPhone up until The 5, which was going to a 16×9 4 in humongous, display here’s what I really think the front face. Camera really started to take off, because this quality increase took the front-facing quality to HD and a lot L of people started using it. 2013 brought the 5S, which brought the 64-bit processor and, alongside that, the ability to record in 120 frames per second slowmo video. Not only did it have video quality and photo quality increases.

This one also was the first to feature the true tone. Flash 2014 was a pivotal moment which brought the iPhone 6 and 6 plus. This was a big deal, as it’s still ranking number one and the bestselling iPhone ever over 222 million units sold even with Ben gate.

To consider fun fact. I was there at the iPhone 6 house for those TLD videos. Man time has flown 2015 brought the iPhone 6s and 6s plus, and this brought 4K video recording to the iPhone at the time. I was still shocked that you could record 4k on a phone. That’S in your pocket and it was a considerable bump over the iPhone 6, and it was made out of much stronger 7,000 series.

Aluminum that was less prone to bending 2016, actually brought quite a bit with the iPhone 7 and 7 plus the 7 plus was the first iPhone to add a secondary lens with its telephoto zoom lens. Also, the first iPhone to record stereo sound when recording video and the ability for the front-facing camera to record full HD 1080p video. Here we are on that front-facing camera on the iPhone 7 and I can really tell the difference between this and those previous front-facing cameras. It looks so much better. Not only had this been a good year for the iPhone in 2016, we also had a bunch of accessories to go along with that.

The Apple watch got its series to upgrade and we got one of the biggest products to hit in the last decade. Airpods airpods were such a big deal at the time because iPhone 7 removed the headphone jack, but at the same time started a revelation with wireless earbuds now something that can also charge a set of airpods and Apple watch and an iPhone all at the same time Is this charger from today’s video sponsor ankor? This is the Anker Mago wireless charging station and it’s a foldable 3in1 charger. It’S honestly crazy! How much you can charge with this little tiny device. It has mag safe for iPhone 12 and up. It has a little charging area on the back for you to charge your airpods and a flip out Apple watch charger.

Now. The one thing that’s really cool here is the fact that this is actual mag safe. So it is identical in speed of a normal mag. Safe Puck and it’s twice as fast as a normal Chi charger, a normal Chi wireless charger is 7.5 Watts Max, and this is 15 watts over mag safe. This thing is ultra compact for it having the ability to charge three devices in one charger having a 6.9 o design design and it’s about the same size as a Magic Mouse.

Now. The one thing that differentiates this charger for Apple watch is that it’s a made for Apple watch charger, the best part about that is, it’s fully certified by Apple and it’s compatible with all Apple watch models. If you have an Apple Watch series 9, you can charge for 30 minutes and get 47 % battery.

It’S essentially eliminating three Chargers: by being able to charge your phone, your watch and your airpods, and it’s so tiny, and it also includes a USBC cable and a power adapter all all in one and because of its Sleek design. It really doesn’t take up much space on your desk if you have a very small desk setup or if you want to be able to take this with you for travel, to eliminate clutter in your bag. For more information on the ankor Mago wireless charging station check out the link in the video description below, and thank you so much to anchor for sponsoring this portion of today’s video 2017 was the first year for Apple to release two simultaneous new models of iPhone. I don’t count the iPhone 5c iPhone 8, which we are recording on right now and iPhone 10 came out at the exact same time. I iPhone 8 kept the iPhone 7 style Body, but added wireless charging with that glass back and the new processor and camera improvements for that year. Iphone 10, which we are recording on right, now marked 10 years of iPhone, which actually wasn’t the 10th iPhone. This was a massive shift in how we interacted with the phone and really is what we’re still using today, 2018 brought the iPhone 10s, which we are recording on right now, as well as the larger version, the 10s Max. In addition to that, we also got a secondary release like the previous year, but this time we got the 10r 2019, which feels like yesterday really started the basis of what the iPhone lineup looks like. Even today, we had the iPhone 11, an 11 Pro, as well as an 11 Pro Max, with the pro name added, the third lens to the camera and all those memes that came with it, as well as all the improvements to the processor and the camera system. As a whole, this was also the first iPhone generation to be able to record 4k on the front and it actually looks pretty good 2020 brought the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro. We are recording on the 12 Pro right now, and the significant thing here was the ability to record video in Dolby Vision. Dolby vision is a flavor of HDR and to me my favorite variant of HDR, and it’s still impressive to this day, to think that this phone can record this video along side that brought 5G support to the iPhone for the first time, as well as a new Accessory method, mag safe 2021 brought the iPhone 13 series as well as 13 Pro we are recording on the iPhone 13 Pro Max right now and two notable video features.

The first thing is the ability to record pro reses quality video on an iPhone iPhones up until this point were widely used as secondary or even primary cameras for some short films, music videos and, of course, social content. But this recording in prores took it up a notch. Prores is a highquality intermediate format that a lot of high-end cameras like Airy and red use, as well as production houses use for editing alongside that was the long- awaited feature of cinematic mode 2022 brought the iPhone 14 series and 14 pro Pro. We are here on an iPhone 14 pro Max, and the quality here started to get really good the processing power in this phone allowed for 4K cinematic mode, which is what we are recording in right now, as well as the addition of dynamic Island, which was the First change to the front of the iPhone since the iPhone 10, and here we are on the current model, iPhone the 15 Pro Max.

This phone brought ases color, prored, video recording in log and the ability of recording, prores externally to a USBC SSD along the way. Over these 14 years of iPhones that could record video was an incremental bump every single year and when you zoom out to all the changes that have happened, is a significant Milestone. If anyone out there is wanting to dabble into recording videos or learning more about video production, I think an iPhone 15 Pro or 15 Pro Max is a great place to start. This was a really fun look back on all the iPhones that could record video charging them up, seeing if they’ll leave in boot and looking at the old oper systems is really fun. Thank you so much for watching today’s video comment down below your favorite model of iPhone to ever exist. This is Travis and have a good night. .
