It’S no surprise to anyone that the pixel for has never really had the same hype around it that the original pixel was enjoyed compared to its competitors, which have crazy specs heaps of camera, tech and impressive bang for buck. For, let’s kick things off with the battery life, something that the past pixel family has never really been known for, but something that the pixel four has a particular stigma for, not surprising that the battery is even smaller in this than it was in the pixel 3c. Once again, these final two issues fit together quite well, and I think pretty much sum up: the pixel fours woes, the storage and the video to start with the latter. It would be completely inaccurate to say that the pixel fault wasn’t and isn’t still one of the best smartphones for photography, despite all the phones with nuts camera setups that have come out since the pixel 4 is still up there with the best, thanks to Google’s incredibly Powerful and well balanced, computational photography, setup. The lack of an ultra-wide is an aged floor. Whichever way you slice it, but the sheer quality keeps it hanging with the best of the best. Probably the best sign that the software really matters is that even compared to the incredibly powerful galaxy s 20, ultra and P 40 Pro the pixel 4 with its outdated hardware, it still compares to these photography powerhouses and it’s not just in the camera. The Google’s software really shines here, because the pixel 4 was the first phone to have Android 10 it’ll likely be the first phone to get Android 11 and google says it will support the phone until October of 2022. The timeliness of its software updates is something that pretty much no other OEMs take pixel drops, for example, the idea behind it is that your phone should get better with age by receiving software updates, that add features and value to the device every three or so months. The first drop allowed users to add a faux bokeh background to a photo that wasn’t originally taken with portrait mode. It’S nothing groundbreaking, but it adds value to an already popular pixel camera we’ve. Yet to see Google really commit to this initiative, but it’s early days and if they do it’d, be a great way to breathe new life into old phones.
Up until recently, the pixel 4 had the best display that we are Android Authority have ever tested thanks to its color accuracy, brightness and contrast levels, it soared above even Samsung’s best devices. It was only a short while ago that it got dethroned by the oneplus 8. Pro, though, with that the pixel 4 has had some issues with its oleophobic coating, which can kind of rub off and accumulate, scratches and scuffs, I’m not saying that the pixel force display is perfect by any means. It definitely has its issues, but in terms of its share quality, it’s up there with the best of the best.
What are the benefits of having such a small screen on the regular pixel 4? Is that it’s one of the very few truly flagship level compact phones on the market you’d be hard-pressed to find a phone with this level of quality in a form factor this small? It’S got that at the time flagship, system-on-chip, six gigabytes of RAM brilliant cameras and that awesome display in a shell, that’s close to the size of the new iPhone se. It makes the phone easy to hold and it fits in all, but the tightest of pockets. It’S not something you can save up pretty much any other flagship smartphone these days. It’S refreshing and I like it. Finally, there are the extra bits that don’t necessarily make waves on paper but they’re integral to the quality of the user experience. The speaker’s was not huge. Stereo front-facing beasts or excellent outputting great quality sounds at every volume level and the haptics on google pixel phones getting really close to the iPhones tactic engine in terms of its crisp tightness.
It might not quite be there, but it’s definitely the best on the entire Android platform and that’s a good a clay to have so then, should you go out and buy the pixel for well, it’s complicated, because if you want the best smartphone, that’s not the pixel. For if you want the best value, that’s not the pixel, for if you want a hug, you ibly the best software experience, that’s not the pixel for either, but if you’re looking for a phone that encompasses what Google is, which is Hardware second and software first, then This is a great phone to buy and with the price drops in different regions across the world, now is probably the best time to buy a pixel 4, and that about concludes today’s video guys.
