iPhone 15 vs. Pixel 8: Can Google WIN?!

iPhone 15 vs. Pixel 8: Can Google WIN?!

Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “iPhone 15 vs. Pixel 8: Can Google WIN?!”.
Yes, we know neither phone is actually officially available yet, but where does the yet to be released? Pixel 8 Pro and pixel 8 stack up against the just released. Iphone 15 series well find out here so because we have a fairly good idea of what the pixelating 8 Pro will be packing come launch thanks to our own exclusive leaks, which you can read in full via this link in the description, I’d say we’re probably in The best position to discuss where it’s going to line up and stack up against Apple’s latest and greatest releases. Putting aside the iOS versus Android argument, Google is no doubt aiming for iPhone owners with tons of extra marketing campaigns hitting key demographics and that’ll be more pronounced. Once the pixel 8 series launches, so here’s a rundown of the tail of the tape, although this doesn’t necessarily tally up all too closely. Given the differences between Android and iOS, as I just discussed, Apple’s iPhone 15 comes in four sizes: the iPhone 15, the 15 plus and the iPhone 15 pro and pro Max Google’s pixel 8 series was actually only be available in two models: the regular a and the Eight Pro it’s pretty simple from Google and a little bit more confusion from Apple, but the pro naming means more functions in both cases here.

The iPhone 18 and 15 plus are little and large companions with 6.1 and 6.7 inch screens, which is coincidentally, the same as the iPhone 15 pro and pro Max, which is why I think it can be confusing for first-time buyers. We know that the Google pixel 8 will have a 6.17 inch screen, while the 8 Pro is coming with a 6.7 inch display. So it lines up quite similarly here, but it means that both brands are settling on this dual screen size approach across all of their available models for 2023 and Beyond. Here’S the kicker, though the regular iPhone 15 and 15 plus have 60 hertz screens.

If that does bother you, while the 15 pro and pro Max, will have 120hz displays, Google’s 8 series will ship with 120 hertz displays across the board. The upside is that all of these phones are actually going to come with flat screens, no matter which side of the fence you fall on, which is just better for overall user experience, especially with gesture-based interfaces, which Android and iOS most certainly are at this point. In time all six of these devices will also ship with OLED panels. We are expecting the pixelate pro to have the highest resolution screen at QHD plus resolution, while the pixel 8 will have a full HD Plus resolution, which is going to be closer to the iPhone’s 460 PPI Target resolution.

And you can see these weird screen. Resolutions on on screen now with that new information Apple, does stick with face ID for its Biometrics with the dynamic Island Notch. Also, now on all of the devices across the lineup, the pixelating 8 Pro will come with an in-display fingerprint scanner and it’s highly likely that we’ll also see The Return of software-based Face, Unlock which actually can’t be used for things like payments and that kind of secure Access to areas of us, but it is an unlock option if you do want that, if you don’t like that in display fingerprint scanner, speaking of the processors 10 to G3 likely won’t get close to the a17 Pro in terms of performance levels, nor will it match The processing capabilities of last year’s a16 bionic chip, which is found in the iPhone 15 and 15 plus, but the chipset of tensor G3, will also offer its own improvements over the 10cg2 ray tracing. Graphics will be available here and the the av1 encoding is also touted for this chip.

That might not be enough for mobile Gamers, though, as Apple claims that full gaming experiences from titles such as Resident, Evil, Village and the recent Resident Evil 4 remake will be feature complete and fully playable on the iPhone 15 Pro Series. Thanks to the a17 pro chip, which could be a first but anything save emulators, this is going to be native playback as well, and we’re really excited to see where this goes, because this could help push Android further to do more, especially Qualcomm with their own processors. It will be tough to truly compare these two side by side when Apple can actually provide so much extra processing, power and overhead on its three nanometer based chip. Obviously iOS is very different Android as well.

Even so, it is worth noting that the sum of the machine learning powered functions which will be baked into the tensor G3 processor could actually end up being usurped by Apple’s pure power approach. Here, too, they have some of their own AI processing of their own. With neural core and neural, networking we’ll have to wait and see how different the real world performance is, once both devices are on hand and how the Google Assistant will help shape the pixel 8 series when it comes to day-to-day performance and everyday tasks that you put. Your smartphone through no phone, though, is safe from gimmicks and exclusive features, though the pixelate pro is actually shipping with a thermometer for the first time, which could help enhance the health features on board.

It’S not exactly clear how this will be beneficial in everyday usage. Apple has a less gimmicky, though action button, which is replacing the popular silent switch on the iPhone 15 Pro Max. This can be programmed to enable things like silent mode Focus, the camera, toggle, the torch or flashlight and even add custom shortcuts. If you wish this isn’t necessarily revolutionary, but could be useful in a system that still really lacks pure customization options like we have here on Android. The biggest talking point, though, is undoubtedly the brand new USB C port on the iPhones ditching. The lightning cable could be the biggest change to the iPhone in almost a decade, and this opens up so much more capabilities. Things like an external SSD video, recording, increased access to Common USBC accessories and unifies your charging methods, no matter which devices you do happen to earn. Annoyingly, though, you’ll need an expensive Thunderbolt cable to access, full data, transfer speeds, otherwise, you’re capped at USB 2.0 transfer rates, which does feel like a typically Apple decision.

However, it likely won’t affect most people, but it is still annoying if you do have to go out and shell out potentially 70 on an extra cable to get the highest data transfer rates and even without a special cable, the iPhone 15 series will have faster charging Times on the pixel, 8 and 8 Pro Google’s phones will come with larger batteries, but given the poor power efficiency of Android in general and the pixel series over the past few years, it’s highly likely that the iPhone 15 series will last longer between charges. You can see the exacting details of these and battery sizes on screen now talking about the cameras is more of a complicated issue than it probably seems from the outset. The iPhone 15 and 15 plus are the entry level models, and these come with the exact same 48 megapixel main sensor, which was used on the 14 pro last year and appears to be used on the iPhone 15 series. Again. This is paired with a 12 megapixel Ultra wide angle, camera there’s no room for a dedicated telephoto zoom lens on these. This particular Duo. Now the iPhone 15 Pro Series has a similar core with that 48 megapixel main sensor, 12 megapixel Ultra wide, but actually includes a 12 megapixel three times telephoto zoom lens on the 15 Pro the 15 Pro Max, though, has the first five times Periscope zoom lens camera.

On an iPhone today, this separation is actually quite similar to what Google has done with the pixel series over the past few years. We’Re expecting the pixel 8 to ship, with a 50 megapixel Samsung ISO cell gn2 main sensor across both models. There’S a 12 megapixel Sony IMX 386 Ultra wide on the regular 8 versus a 64 megapixel Ultra wide on the pro model, but it is also worth noticing that only the pixel 8 Pro will ship with a 48 megapixel ISO cell GM five five times, telephoto zoom Lens, so the separation is a little bit similar to what apple is doing with their own. Pro lineup Apple, though, is also touting some interesting new camera features, including a 3DS video Mode called spatial video. It might not be all that interesting to most people and probably won’t be used that often, but it is something different for you to consider.

Google is going to throw some new functions into the pixel 8 camera mix of its own too. We’Re expecting an improved dark mode, video recording, which seems to be probably the biggest outright, which actually might be more useful than the gimmicky 3D video modes as low light. Shooting video is not necessarily been all that good on smartphones for the past few years. We’Re actually itching to see how both camera systems do compare directly when both devices are officially available.

That is for sure, if you’re wondering, should you wait with the pixelate and you’re on the fence about what you need from your next phone? Maybe the pricing might sway. You a little here Apple, has released pricing for these devices, which starts at 799 for the base model, iPhone 15 899 dollars for the iPhone 15 plus and 999 dollars for the iPhone 15 Pro the 15 Pro Max will start at 1199. However, it’s worth noting that the pro Max model now ships with 256 gigabytes of storage as standard the rest will stick with 128 gigabytes for the base model, which seems a little bit disappointing, but is still better than it has been in previous years. Google hasn’t actually unveiled the pixel 8 series as yet, as you probably are well aware.

So that means we’re working with supposed European price leaks and it might not actually be that pretty compared to the pixel 7 Series, the 128 gigabyte pixel a is expected to start 799 Euros, which is a 200 euro price hike, while the 128 gigabyte pixel 8. Pro may start at 1099 Euros, which is a 200 euro price hack. That is definitely a big yikes and it means that Google does have to step up to convince people to switch to these devices if those prices are in anyway, accurate and then translate into US dollars. So that’s the tail of the tape.

It is early in the life cycle of both of these devices, they’re actually not available on store shelves. As of this video going live, but we want to ask you which device do you think is going to be a better buy for most people? Sales charts will no doubt say that Google has zero chance of making any inroads, especially in the US, but stranger things have happened and Google has been putting money behind their smartphone series. Let me know which you think is going to be a better buy for most people down in the comment sections below, and hopefully you enjoyed this video. I will, though, catch you in the next one.

Oh .
