Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “iPhone 14 Day In The Life (Battery & Camera Test)”.
Um kindly put in um, yes, I’m still stuck on the first step. I I just at this point. I don’t even know I just want to run on your phone. That’S it like. You would think this e Sim feature would make it more convenient for users, but at this point I would rather just pull out that SIM card and throw it in, but they took out the SIM card slot, so I’m looking real stuck. So let me go ahead and finish with them, and hopefully I will have this activated because it is 11 16 a.m. I’Ve been on the phone for almost an hour now and there is no progress.
I’M actually gon na go to the gym first and then shower. I mean that makes the most sense in my head. I’M gon na go ahead and grab my water bottle, but I’m actually using the front-facing camera on the iPhone 14, with the new 4k feature on cinematic mode. So let me know how that looks like as I’m walking around and stuff. I will say I do like the fact that we have autofocus with like the front facing cameras this year, which is like super nice and hopefully um. I can be able to tell the difference between the regular 13 series so something that’s actually pretty cool this year.
Hopefully I am not rubbing on my mic, but is the fact that we now have satellite connection. So now you can basically have service without actually having service. So let’s say you’re in the middle of nowhere and like you let’s say some something: crazy happens.
You don’t have any connection to your seller’s service and you need Emergency Services. Well, you can still dial 9-1-1, or at least have them come to you wherever you’re at your iPhone can do all of that. For you, which is pretty impressive, another cool feature that works through satellite and um is just a built-in feature as well.
Is the crash detection? So let’s say your iPhone 14 is in the car and you get in a car accident. You can liter, it can literally automatically detect that and send out emergency services to you just in case you’re injured, and you can’t reach the phone and, I have to say that’s actually a pretty cool feature and I think it’s going to be super useful um. For you know, people who end up in those situations – and you just never know it could happen foreign. It is currently 2. 21 p.m. We’Re sitting on.
Let’S see 34 of battery life and at the gym I was practically using a ton of social media, especially when I was on the treadmill, walking and running. I was like it was on and off, and then I was listening to music, the entire time. With my Sony headphones, so that probably dragged it down to like five to ten percent um compared to like where I was at when I first went to the gym as far as like the screen on time. So far I have two and a half hours of screen on time and one and a half hours of screen off time, which is not bad, considering the fact that I started at just under like 70 of battery life today now I don’t know about you guys When I go to the gym, especially recently I’ll get sore like two days later later, instead of waking up sore, which is really annoying because I’ll go to sleep tonight and then wake up feeling, fine and then I’ll forget the the morning.
After that that I went to the gym like two days ago and I’d be like why the heck am I super sore, but if that happens to you guys, let me know down in the comment section unless my body’s just like super weird anyway, let’s talk about The new design, particularly this new purple colorway. Let me go ahead and take it out of this case and it’s a lot lighter of a purple compared to the purple that you get with the iPhone 14 pro series, but, aside from the color way um, this is practically the same exact design. In fact, everything looks the same aside from that missing SIM card slot, but I have a meeting in like 20 minutes, so I’m going to go ahead and take a quick shower. Luckily, it is just like five minutes away and go ahead and take care of that meeting, and hopefully we can get some editing done today and I haven’t even had anything to eat yet.
So I like to intimate intermittent fast like almost every single day, and I don’t have like my first meal until like two three o’clock, so yeah right now. I am kind of hungry, so I’ll probably grab a snack and then eat that on the way to the meeting, as you can tell, I just finished showering, you know I had to clean up for the meeting, but something that I thought about. While I was in the shower, you already know about some shower thoughts is I can literally tell a difference um as far as like the overall experience with this lower refresh rate display coming from the 14 pro series, I really wish we had a high refresh rate Display on this device, because it’s 20 22 and even mid-range and budget devices already have it. So it’s kind of annoying the fact that it’s missing on here and I and it doesn’t feel as smooth the overall software experience compared to the 14 pro series, and that’s purely because of that refresh rate.
I will have them side by side. You know opening and closing applications and at first I thought my phone was a little slower when I used it, but it was really just like the refresh rate um, that’s lower, so hopefully we see that in future devices foreign, so it is currently 4 12 p.m. The iPhone is sitting at like 18. I just finished off the meeting.
It went extremely well in fact, um. I love working with politicians because you know I love Outreach and I love people who want to do do better for the community and we had a really good conversation on that about my local area and like what are some things we can do better in order To help you know young small business owners like myself and creatives – you know Excel here, so that was really fun. I want to be doing some video projects with him so excited for that, but we’re gon na go to a park and test out this new camera. Um, well, it’s not really new.
It’S pretty much the same exact camera system. However, the back camera now has a slightly wider aperture, which means technically should perform better in terms of low light and have a slightly lower depth of field. I don’t think it’s going to be that noticeable, but we’re gon na go see and test this out. If it’s really like that, okay, so we made it to the park, I’m gon na go ahead and do a quick, um video of just like the area, because it looks really nice right now and you guys can get an idea of exactly what you can expect With this camera tonight, man we’re gon na turn up.
Okay, it’s time to test out that action mode. Let’S Run I’ve been waiting all week, man waiting for the weekend trying to get close to this cute, one that don’t hold a free game. Drink Exchange in the kitchen uh have my own bottle for the Sip and um slump on the couch and I’m chilling. I’M plotting on which female wan na get it yeah. I know it came with a mission. Hey everybody. Okay, as I was taking pictures, something that I thought about was performance.
I haven’t really talked too much about that y’all. This seat is so small, like. I feel super tall, I feel like a giant right now, but anyway, it’s practically the same. That’S to be completely honest with you guys, they’re using the same a15 bionic chip. It has been slightly tweaked um, however, as far as like any noticeable differences, putting it side by side with the iPhone 13..
It’S just as fluid. I was just playing Subway Surfers and it handled it just like any other iPhone 13 would so if you are considering upgrading from a performance standpoint, please don’t it’s it’s the same exact device um, I haven’t noticed anything snappier or it may be a little faster. I don’t know it’s a little faster every single year, at least they say it is, but I personally can’t tell the difference now, I’m trying to think if I forgot to mention anything else. I am currently at 4.
43 p.m. We’Re sitting at 12 of battery life. So yeah we’re on the tail end of things. It’S it’s probably going to die in the next hour or two and yeah. That’S really it for the iPhone 14.. There’S not really much! That’S new this year that I could really think of there’s only like a few handful of things to be honest with you guys that most people are not going to even be able to notice because it’s practically the same body just different colorway.
In fact, this looks a lot better outside than it does inside. Just look at that. That’S that’s a beautiful light purple. I’M sure a lot of people are going to really enjoy this colorway.
