iPhone 13: Don’t Wait?

iPhone 13: Don't Wait?

Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “iPhone 13: Don’t Wait?”.
A portion of this video is sponsored by monday.com. Finally, it’s about time apple’s, adding 120 hertz to the next iphone. Can’T wait. But john you never told me, my user interface wasn’t fast or smooth enough for you. Every year you toss out a perfectly good phone. We have feelings too: hey, don’t you finally gon na shrink that horrible notch, since when is my notch and eyesore, you never complained that it wasn’t enough for you before.

I think we can work on this. Maybe we should seek counseling before you make a mistake. Iphone13, wait, don’t wait, let’s talk about it so every year we’re faced with the same dilemma right, do we buy the latest and greatest or you stick with our old, faithful that might only just be a few months old, which is done right by us for a Year or longer, and as soon as new features are announced, like new cameras, better displays, the current device starts to feel a little old and dated at least for me as the like. The fomo is real and sets in and now we’re approaching that time again.

iPhone 13: Don't Wait?

So, let’s talk a little bit about what we have to look forward to with the iphone 13 12 s, whatever they call it. So apple has included a notch on pretty much every iphone since the iphone 10, which came out back in 2017, it’s where the selfie camera and face id are always stored. The endless ming chi quo back in march predicted that the iphone 13 will have a smaller notch. That means they’re getting a little more screen real estate back utilization of that extra space comes down to the new version of ios. Otherwise, it’s just going to be like wasted. Pixels, i’m curious to see if the current notch bothers any of you out there if a smaller notch is gon na be viewed as an upgrade for me, though, just having a notch is a notch.

At this point, it doesn’t matter what size it is. I will say, though, if shrinking it can actually show me a battery percentage, the upper right hand corner. Then, then, i’m all for it. So the software it’s ios, 15. Obviously, you run on older phones going all the way back personally, this is the first beta that i haven’t done in like five or six years. There’S just nothing really compelling to me right now. That makes me want to risk the bugs and dealing with with beta and developer previews. Having said that, though, perhaps there’s something new, a hidden feature in ios 15 that only will reveal itself when the iphone 13 comes out. I’M not holding my breath at least something to hope for so it’s been speculated, like i don’t know, probably to death uh that when maxie got introduced last year it would usher in the portless iphone, which does not appear to be making its way. This year probably seems about two generations or more away, so apple’s got to do a few things before that happens, so apple’s got to catch up with proper, fast charging and data transfer through magsafe. Then i think we’ll be probably ready to to ditch that port. All together until then, though, lightning ports staying around, give up all hope for usb type c, which i don’t think we are ever going to see on an iphone. If you watch my videos, you know if there’s one hill when it comes to the iphone i will climb up on and plant my flag is that that phone needs a high refresh display for the price.

iPhone 13: Don't Wait?

They are charging 60 hertz ain’t, gon na cut it, and it looks like the 13 pro is going to 120 hertz, all the screens they’re, very least 90 hertz, just not 60 anymore uh. This rumor has kind of been on again off again for at least the past year, but it does look like it is going to be here, make its way to the pro models. I still say inexcusable to not make its way to the regular models. Um, but high refresh rates are amazing.

If you haven’t used it on the android side. I think they’re make the experience so much better and smoother, and every time i go back to an iphone. It’S very apparent to me that the refresh rate is just not up to par the flagships on the outside chance that this somehow does not make it into the iphone 13 pro line.

I could not give the phone a bigger wait until it comes than promotion display. It’S probably a personal thing: it matters a lot to me. Maybe it doesn’t to you, but if it’s not here, i say, still sit outside next year. I am not by nature an organized person, so monday.com has been an absolute perfect solution to make. My business runs.

Smoother overall completely, so it’s not a single purpose software. It can be sort of changed to do whatever you need and for what i need. The automation side of it has been absolutely amazing. So right now, when a video gets approved, for example, the editor gets an automated note, saying: hey it’s approved it’s time to write a script on it.

When that script is done. I get a message saying it’s time for me to film after my filming is done, then automation goes to the editor again saying it’s time to edit producer gets a note saying, go out to sponsor and everything just happens in the background like magic without us having To go through and do it manually each time and forgetting something: it’s also cross-compatible with pretty much everything we use. Teams and slack are kind of the big ones, but it’s compatible with pretty much everything else out there go to hey.monday.com john rettinger they’ve extended the free trial from that link from two weeks to a month, so you get a month to explore to customize and make Monday.Com work for you i’ll start here. So when it comes to 120 hertz display they’re, really strong, rumors uh that it was going to make its way to last year’s phone, the iphone 12 since a lot of the competitors already at it right.

The galaxies of the world, the oneplus of the world uh, even the pixel, had a 90 refresh rate screen uh. So on twitter tech, analyst and personal friend of the channel john prosser claimed the decision to not implement the 120 hertz on the iphone 12. Pro was due to battery life issues since 5g was the first introduction of it that was going to be a big drain on its own and, judging by how much thicker this new boy is on the dummy models, i’d expect bigger batteries in all iphone models. Trophy will give you more milliamp hours to support that higher refresh screen. So you look at these dummy units and uh them. Cameras on the iphone 13 look ginormous um, maybe because the lenses are spread out a bit more there’s extra space.

There is suggesting that perhaps the ultra wide camera will benefit from sensor shift that is present in the iphone 12 pro max. So better stabilization for video, less noise and low light for the ultra wide focal length seems like a winner all around the biggest rumor, though right now is an improvement to the ultra wide angle lens. So right now the aperture on the ultra wide on the iphone 12 is f 2.4, but mac rumors are suggesting the aperture is going to go. This is a big change. It’S f, 1.8 on the iphone 13. So again, the just in case you didn’t know the lower the aperture, the more light the lens lets in resulting in better looking images in low light.

Uh also looks like we’re getting a bump on resolution, which is crazy, long overdue from 12 megapixel on the wide to 48, which is obviously you know four times as much, which should make your photos even sharper uh. The article also suggests this upgrade is going to be shared across all iphone 13 models, not just the expensive pro line. So i’m here for that uh also expect portrait mode video to make an appearance on the new iphone 13. Most likely, though, to only be in beta at launch similar to how portrait was uh and deep fusion, so apple seems to be adding new colors to each generation of iphone. 13 looks to be no exception. It should be a new hue called sunset gold.

It looks kind of like a bronzy color to it. It looks pretty dope, but personal preference right also rumors uh about a new matte black color been circulating online. So it’s reported by a combination of everything apple, pro uh and max weinbach, both of which i think have pretty reliable track records and, if you’re a fan of the mini phone, then here’s a big reason not to wait um. It does look like this will be the last year of the iphone mini so poor sales. Surprisingly uh, when it came to the iphone 12 mini, it seems, like everybody, wanted the mini iphone, but not many people bought it so the last year of it. If you want a smaller phone, then definitely don’t wait.

So in the the age of wearing masks, touch id has become sort of back to the forefront of things. People want, in their phones, they’ve been conflicting rumors that it was going to make it onto the iphone 13s. It appears that is not going to be the case, but does look to debut on next year’s iphone 14.. I would love to have redundancy when it comes to biometrics. I think it helps especially when you’re wearing a mask. It’S not a deal breaker, i think for for me um.

I would have liked it to have been there, but if you’re the kind of person that’s like touch id all the things, then that’s definitely a reason to wait. I would expect it when it does come in the 14 or 13 s whatever they call it to be in screen and not sort of on the side or the top uh like we have on the ipad airs save the date. I’M going to call it september. 14Th 2021 is when the new iphones will be revealed. Usually they happen in the third week of september, usually on a tuesday so easy to guess. When that’s going to be whether or not you should wait or upgrade is a personal choice. I’Ve made a lot of videos saying that usually the older generation of phones are still the best value and the features you get once you get past, the fomo are generally not worth it now. I haven’t said that and perhaps but hypocritically if this has 120 hertz screen, which i expect it to have, i’m going to be the first one in line or waiting at midnight or 5 a.m whenever pre-orders go up to order an iphone 13 pro.

But that’s a personal choice. I think often times you can get incredible deals on older phones. Whether or not you should wait or not. Wait again is your decision, but if high refresh rate is here say jump on it, .
