That’S missing are some awesome accessories to get the most out of your new phone, and i am here to help deliver. So all the speakers on the iphone are decent they’re, not really good for anything but taking a phone call. If you want to enjoy your music you’re going to need an external speaker and there are a metric ton of options out there, i tend to gravitate towards lg’s xboom line. They do a really nice job sort of mixing the base still being able to hear the vocals their latest.
The xboom go pl7 uh just hit for under 130 bucks, and it’s a really good mix kind of everything. You’D want in a speaker. So for me i want face, but i just want to be able to hear the vocals and that’s what the xboom go. Does it gives me really nice bass without killing? You know the words that are being sung. If you want a more house party type feel you want something with sort of a deeper bass, there’s a sound boost button that will do that for you, it’s also going to give you up to 24 hours of battery life.
It’S ipx5 water resistance. I can do everything that you want it to do, no matter where you want to go. If you want to get two of these things, you could use the app and pair them in stereo mode uh. It boils down to probably the perfect combination of speaker functionality without being too heavy and being portable, also giving me really good battery life. If you want a speaker that can play anything that you want it to, and do it well instead of having to adapt what you want to play to your speaker, the latest xboom go el7 is a perfect compliment to your new phone. So next on this list from a company, you might not have heard of it’s the backbone one controller, and essentially it’s like the razer kishi for the iphone it’s giving you full pretty much console like controls on your iphone.
The controller feels really good. It kind of feels like wider versions of the joy-cons, the d-pad felt awesome. The thumbsticks were really good, but probably my favorite feature, so it plugs in with lightning. But it’s going to give you a 3.5 millimeter headset. So if you’ve got a gaming headset that you’re using all the time, you could plug that in use that for voice and audio it was a really nice feature to have what was kind of unique about. This is there’s an ecosystem inside of it. So there’s an app that can serve as a launcher for all of your games, which is cool, but also there’s one touch recording if you want to either screenshot or record your gaming it’ll record at 1080, up to 30 frames per second, i subscribed to alpha one. I haven’t gotten too into like the apple rq ecosystem, but if you are into that, you are into mobile gaming, you have that option and with game pass and project x cloud coming hopefully soon to the web.
You can still certainly be playing your xbox and pc games with this setup really easily uh it’ll fit any of the iphone 12s. I do wish there was a hinge to kind of fold it in on itself, but the build quality was great and performed really well. When i was playing games i’ll link to it down below, if you want to pick one up, it’s 99 bucks all right, so iphone 12 brought a bunch of new stuff, but like magsafe, like ecosystem was a big play and apple announced the magsafe leather wallet uh. So first i wish there were non leather options.
If you do decide to pick one up, they ain’t cheap, like most things, apple 59 is gon na. Let you hold a grand total, at least for me, of three cards. It’S my driver’s license and two credit cards, and that was it super snug fit on the back of the iphone. I’M using an iphone 12 pro max a little bit hard to find that sweet magsafe spot once it’s on there, though it did stay on really well, but since that phone is so big, it did have some issues where it kind of sometimes come off on my Pocket, if i put it in sort of wallet side out, but if you’re using an iphone 12 12 pro or the 12 mini, which fits absolutely perfectly on the back. It’S a really nice way to keep your cards with you. You can live with just three and really no cash at all, but it’s a nice ecosystem play for apple. It works well with all their max 8 cases. If you’re using a third-party case, you might want to check it because chances are, it won’t work, but for 59 bucks it’s not cheap, but it is pretty comparably priced with other sort of thin leather wallets.
So i like it, it’s not for me for every day, but when the world goes back to normal, i can go out to a football game or something again, something really nice to just slap that thing. On the back of my phone, you just picked up your new iphone 12 and you probably noticed there’s no power, brick in the box apple will happily sell you a 20 watt charger for 20. You can spend 80 bucks and get one of their 96 watt chargers charge. Everything or you can spend half of that for 40 bucks and get the aki omnia 100 watt charger.
There’S a tiny little wall wart that can charge absolutely anything from macbook pros. Ipads. Your phone android devices pretty much whatever uses usbc. This can use. It is tiny, so it’s great to go in your bag.
It can travel with you. It’S got smart thermals in it as well, so it can throttle back power if your device gets warm. So i trust it with all of my electronics.
Aki has always worked really well for me, and really it’s been the size that i’ve liked you get the 100 watt charger, something that is, you know, half the size of apple’s, 96 uh. Also, of course, it’ll fast charge your phone again, whether it’s your iphone 12 or android, available in two colors, black or white, the black one, sometimes more expensive. So let’s save the money and go for the white again 40-ish bucks. Sometimes they go on sale.

It was supposed to be one charging pad to charge everything you just throw your stuff on. It. Apple watch whatever, and there were enough coils, no matter where you put it, it would charge, never came to the market, but the idea lives on in the nomad basestation pro.
So this little sucker has 18 coils inside. I have no idea how it doesn’t get hot, but the same principles are in place. You can put whatever on it and it will charge now. There are some downsides: it’s capped at 7.5 watts, but it works as advertised uh.
This is on my nightstand to charge everything, and i literally just throw my phone on as long as the phone is on the pad. It will charge you can throw your air pods on there. You can throw an android device, anything that can charge wirelessly with qi. It will work and you can put three devices on there and everything can charge.
I do wish it worked with the apple watch. There’S no sort of the magnet there to make it work. A nomad has a little adapter coming sometime next year. That can make it work with your apple watch, but it’s not out yet so, assuming that you just want to charge your phone or anything else, that’s wireless! It’S a really good option to have. It doesn’t get hot.
It’S not cheap, though it’s 230 dollars. I’Ve had pretty good luck with nomad products in the past, though lasting and kind of getting your money’s worth. You can certainly buy less expensive wireless chargers from nomad or others, but if you want one pad to charge up to three things without having to worry or fiddle to find the sweet spot, it really does do what nomad says – and it’s got the spirit of air Power inside of it, except you know you can actually buy this one alright, so those are my favorite accessories that i am using pretty much every day for my iphone 12..
