Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “How to Quickly Jump Back to Recent Edits in Microsoft Word”.
In this article I will show you how to quickly go back to your most recent edits in Microsoft. Word, let’s get started so here I have a document, that’s very important that I’m working on and let’s say I make a few edits. I love all of these bands but let’s say I delete one of the Bands, maybe another band. Maybe I change the word poignant to powerful, maybe I’ll change Aesthetics to look and here I’ll, add and appeal.
So I’m just making some subtle changes to this document. Maybe I’ll change more over to also okay, so I’ve made a series of changes to this document. Let’S say now: I browse down to the bottom of this document, but then maybe I decide to perhaps revisit those edits, maybe I’m not so sure.
Maybe I want to make sure I did it right or maybe I’m having second thoughts about those changes. I can hold the shift key and then tap F5 and notice. That word has taken me right back to my most recent edit.
My cursor is flashing right after the word also now what, if you make a series of edits and then you decide to tap shift F5 more than once, if I tap it one time it takes me to the most recent edit tap it again. The second most recent and that’s about as far back as it will go and notice if you go back in this case to the second or third most most recent edit and then proceed to make changes. If you then hold shift and tap F5 notice that at least in this case, it still is remembering those original Three edits that I was looking back on.
So this is an interesting kind of hidden trick inside Microsoft Word, it’s kind of a nice way to quickly jump back to edits so that you can re-examine them. Make sure that you did it the way you’d like without this tool. It can be kind of easy to forget or lose track of where you made that specific, edit that you’re looking for thanks for watching this video. I hope you found it to be helpful.
