Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “HomeGrown Drones: MAKE talks with Lift Off U.A.V.”.
This is charlie from liftoff uavs and uh charlie you put together. This is a bomb proof, uh, waterproof, waterproof, uh frame, pv fpv frame. So um tell me how how did what’s what’s the construction? How does this? How does it work? It’S just two vacuum form: molds that are pressed together top and bottom and then um. You know you’ve got your engine compartment inside where all your fpv equipment and gear goes. So you can run this out and onto a set of goggles, but just for now i fly i’ll run it without the goggles on here, okay and what’s great about it, is it allows for this camera to actually mount on the bottom, so you can actually land In the water and uh and fly around and check water out and stuff like that, so very for fish and for stuff like that, it really helps nice, that’s great! So, and so this thing, obviously it’s uh, it’s waterproof, but it’s also crash resistant yeah.
I could take it up right now and do a big loop and just let it crash into the ground and you can see the uh the end result of it. Well, let’s not do that. Well, i mean i don’t want to crash it right away, but you know what yeah it’s pretty durable in the sense that you know you can you can pretty much stand right on it holy cow. You know all the way on it with all my weight.
I don’t recommend that people try that without drones at home, no, no, no yeah! So uh! You said you haven’t. You haven’t flown this yet today, you’ve got i’m having flown in here, yeah ready to take it up and fly it around here, yeah and uh. I can’t wait to see it so when you get rid of your uh, your video footage afterwards, there’s no jello or vibrations in the camera. Nor are there any props in the shot.
That’S great! That thing flies really nice yeah, absolutely smooth. Really nice you’re uh! You said tonight, you’re actually going to be launching a few of these limited edition of ten. Ten airframes tonight will be launched, uh nine o’clock.
