Uh, so i’m patrick tressart and uh, i bought a robot, it’s a robot that draws people looks at people and then reacts to what they see it works like the person sits on a chair and then i wake up the robot by twisting its itself and then It looks for a person and then it starts to draw and when it draws it looks at what it’s doing and from time to time it looks again at the person. It does like that that many times, but during an open hour and then when it’s finished, it sounds it’s different. Well, i i don’t know i mean there are many drawing robots, so everyone they’ve got their own specificities, but the specificity is that i used to be a painter. So i try to put my experience and my insights as a painter in the system, so i’ve studied how people draw from life, and so the system is fairly complex. It’S really programmed like a robot, so it’s programmed to have a behavior, so it really reacts to what it sees with gestures. I’Ve been working on on the simulation of drawing or the emulation of drawing for since 2000, but it’s a long process and the robot is only six years ago that i’ve started to do things.
Resolvers yeah i mean when people see uh, read an article and see a robot doing drawing their reactions. Sometimes it’s a robot should not do that because it’s something so human. It should stay human, but when people see it in reality and see the movement and see the drawing appear on paper and all that the reaction is generally positive, especially actually people who practice drawing or paintings people understand what i’m trying to do so yeah i mean When you work with robots, it’s fairly complicated, because we do a lot of things naturally, as humans and those things are the most difficult thing to do with robots, and when you try to do something with robots, you learn a lot about what humans do. It’S a process, and the problem is that compared with the software software works in uh, not in reality. So when you fix all the bugs it works with the robot, you can never fix all the bugs of reality because reality is very complex. It’S a pain, actually yeah.
