Galaxy S24 – First things YOU must do!

Galaxy S24 - First things YOU must do!

Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Galaxy S24 – First things YOU must do!”.
The Galaxy s24 series is here and you may have just taken one out of the box for the first time. The device is going to look a lot like last year’s device, but under the hood there’s a lot of new things that you can do. But where do you start that’s what this video is all about? We are going to give you tips and tricks for your new Galaxy s24 phone, so you can get the most out of it. Let’S Dive Right In during the launch of the Galaxy s24 series, Samsung spent a ton of time talking about Galaxy AI, so let’s Jump Right In with some Galaxy AI features these ones directly related to translation. So there are three features here.

The first is call assist. This allows you to get instant translations while you’re talking to someone on the phone. The coolest thing about this feature is that it doesn’t matter what phone the other person is using. They could be using an iPhone, a different Android phone from a different vendor or even a landline. When they speak to you in their language.

You will get an instant translation that you can can hear on the phone and then, when you speak to them in your language, they get the same thing. This allows you to have a realtime conversation with someone without either of you understanding a word. Anyone is saying another similar feature is writing, assist which works just like call assist, except for text messages instead of audio phone calls.

You can control both of these features. By going to the settings app tapping on Advanced features, then tapping on advanced intelligence and there you’ll find both of them. Another cool Galaxy. Ai feature, that’s related to translations is called interpreter.

Galaxy S24 - First things YOU must do!

This is for face-to-face conversations with someone who speaks a language that you don’t using interpreter. You’Ll say what you want to say and then it will translate that into the language of your choice. You can then show your phone to the other person that you’re communicating with they can read it in their language and then they can respond back in their language and get it translated back into your own language. This allows you to have a face-to-face conversation with someone. Even if neither of you understands what the other is saying, this feature is once again only going to come with English and Spanish out of the box when you buy your phone in the United States, but there are multiple other languages. You can download the Galaxy s24 series is going to be some of the best phones for photography and videography, but out of the box, you might want to make a few tweaks to make sure that you’re getting the very best quality you can, for example, when it Comes to shooting video, your Galaxy s24 phone is probably going to be set to the default of 1080p at 30 frames per. Second, that’s fine, but you probably want to up it to 4K, because that’s going to give you much better results at the bottom of the camera, app you’re going to see a scroll wheel, that’s going to allow you to access other camera features. However, some of these, you might not need, and some of them you might wish, were there. Instead, you can easily customize this, though so don’t worry you can do this by hitting the more Tab and then the plus icon and then dragging and dropping any features that you want to keep on that wheel. For yourself, truth be told: the camera Hardware inside the Galaxy s24 series is pretty much the same as what we saw in in the Galaxy s23 Series.

Galaxy S24 - First things YOU must do!

So the big changes this year are going to come after you’ve taken your photo or shot your video. Once again, these are going to be based on Galaxy AI. The Galaxy s24 series offers a comprehensive Suite of editing tools that are very reminisent of those that you find on Pixel devices, specifically with magic editor, just like with magic editor. You can Circle a subject after you’ve taken a photo and then resize or completely remove that subject and then fill in the Gap with a I generated imagery if you’ve never used a pixel phone before this is going to seem brand new and it’s really cool to Use and is almost as good as what we see on the pixels to get started with this simply open up a photo tap the little three star icon. You see there Circle your subject and move it resize it or do whatever you like and see what happens. Keeping your home screen organized is an essential part of owning an Android phone and Samsung has a bunch of tools here that make this as easy as possible.

Galaxy S24 - First things YOU must do!

One of the coolest things, though, for the Galaxy s24 series is stacked. Widgets widgets are great. They allow you to get access to information and even other applications really quickly without having to go hunting for it. The problem is, is that if you have a bunch of widgets on your home screen, you’re going to run out of room quickly, Samsung solution, stacked widgets allows you to stack One widget.

On top of the other, giving you twice the information with only a swipe or a tap and not taking up as much room on your home screen doing so is super easy. All you need to do is add a widget to the home screen and then, when you go to add another widget to the home screen, you just drag and drop it right. On top of that same widget. There are some limitations here, most notably the widgets have to be the same size, but with a little trial and error, you’ll be able to make your home screen look great and be as organized as possible.

Speaking of your home screen, you’re going to want some wallpaper that looks really cool and is unique just to you – and you can do this by generating some AI wallpapers. This is something that is Galaxy, AI based, but it’s one of the features that requires a data connection so make sure you’re connected to either Wi-Fi or your mobile network. When you start doing this to get started, open up, wallpapers and style then hit change, wallpapers and then select the generative icon once you’re in there. You fill in different bits of data to get the type of wallpaper that you want and then poof it’s generated for you.

You can then apply it as your wallpaper for your lock screen your home screen or both we all love using our smartphones. But there are a lot of times when we don’t want to be using our smartphones and Samsung has a robust system for this called modes and routines with modes and routines. You can have your smartphone do things automatically when you need them to happen. A good example of this is when you get into the car and connect to Android auto, you can have your phone automatically silence all notifications and open up Google Maps, which is super useful and keeps your eyes on the road instead of touching your phone.

Another good example of using modes and routines is a theater mode. This one would involve you getting into into a theater starting a mode and having your phone go dark and go into do not disturb so that you don’t disturb people around you, which is the worst. Don’T be that guy? This might be a surprise to you, but Samsung phones don’t have power buttons.

I know you see a power button on the phone, but that’s not what it’s called. It’S actually called the side. Key Samsung calls it this, because holding down the button doesn’t actually do anything with power by default.

It actually launches Bixby. Now, if you’re like us, you probably don’t care much about Bixby and you really don’t need a dedicated button just to launch it. But thankfully Samsung gives you a way that you can customize the Sid key to do more things than just launch Bixby to get started. Customizing the side key just go to settings Advanced features and then side key.

You can make it so that the Sid key opens up your camera or does a myriad of other things that are probably a lot more useful than launching Bixby. So far, I’ve been touching on a lot of features that exclusive to Samsung phones, but I want to touch on one: that’s not exclusive to Samsung but is exclusive to Android in general, which is the notification history. Imagine this you get a notification on your phone. You swipe down the notification tray and then swipe that notification away just by Instinct whoops.

You didn’t mean to do that. Well now, what do you do? You don’t know what the notification was for. You don’t know what to where to go. To look for it.

Thankfully, if you have notification history on, you can go into your history and see exactly what that notification was. Unfortunately, this is not on by default. So if you get a notification and swipe it away and then turn on notification history, you won’t be able to see what that is.

So we highly recommend turning this on as soon as you first set up your phone to. Do it go into settings, notifications, advanced settings and then notification history make sure that toggle is turned on and you’ll be able to save all of your notifications for future reference. I want to close this out by touching on three things that every Galaxy s24 owner should do, which is buy a case, buy a screen protector and buy a charger. Let’S start with the case, if you have a Galaxy s24 Ultra, you have a very expensive phone in your hand, and the last thing you want to do is drop it on the ground and see some cracks and damage. This is where a case is essential. We have a great selection of cases that you can try out be sure to check the link in the description for those moving on to the screen protector. The Galaxy s24 series is super exciting because every phone in the series has a flat display. I don’t know if you ever tried to put a screen protector onto a phone with a curved display display, but it is a pain. Thankfully, the Galaxy s24 series is super easy and we have a great selection of screen protectors.

You can check out once again Link in the description on that finally you’re going to want a charger for your Galaxy s24 phone, and this is especially important if you have an s24 Plus or an s24 ultra, those two phones charge up to 45 watts and that Speed is going to be very helpful for you if you’re trying to run out the door and need a quick top up. The Galaxy s24, unfortunately, is luck to 25 watts, so you’re not going to get quite the same speeds, but the type of charger that you have for these phones is going to make a huge difference. Those are the top tips we have for people who are just buying a Galaxy s24 phone, but as usual, we want to know what you think be sure to hit into the comments and tell us what you do when you first take a phone out of the Box anything you say down: there could be helpful for people who are just entering the Android ecosystem or just buying their very first Samsung phone with a Galaxy s24.

I’M C Scott Brown thanks so much for watching, and I will see you in the next article .
