Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Fun Bike Unicorn Club at Maker Faire Bay 2013”.
All right, so these are the bicycles of the fun unicorn bike club and, as you can see, they’re, not your normal type of bicycles. This one is a six wheeler and it has room for four peddler’s two in the front two in the back, and it’s got a big old steering wheel from it, looks like an old American car right over there and it looks like you actually have the capacity For tandem, steering, which can be maybe, could be sort of scary hood. I don’t know it looks like a lot of fun and I really like this one. It’S called the unnamed amphibious, but I guess that means that they did name it didn’t they so Wow.
What is going on with this, so it looks like the driver sits in that seat over there and they can steer with a little that little wheel. That is to the right of them by just rotating it like this or like that and they’re actually using bike chains to do that over here and it’s that they steer it like a trike except the the steering is in, is in the back and then you Can also have two folks in front pedal as well. These are really neat. I mean this is just you know what this comes from. It comes from having having a bunch of bikes on hand and just taking them apart and welding them back together and figuring out. How you can combine them, how you can change them and stuff like that, and you know Thomas Edison said that to be an inventor, all you need is is a good imagination and a pile of junk.
So that is that adage in progress right there and, as you can see, we have lots of different bikes, and actually there are just a lot of people on bikes, be different kinds of vehicles today. So a couple of people on unicycles, a father and the daughter – and they were just going along and going over speed, bumps and stuff like that so yeah. So it looks like we are nearing the start of today’s pedal car race.
So we’re going to come over here to the track and take a look at it. So we just watched the power racing series before and you know those are all electric cars that are actually heavy heavily modified, like toy ride-along cars for kids and they’re. All electric powered, but this race right here are all pedal powered, so just like all of those vehicles that we that we saw over by the fun bike, unicorn Club – and so it looks like they’re – going to have eight riders on this and for eight riders. The size of those and the track as small as this.
