Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Fresh Pixel 9 LEAK! BIG upgrade for new Android 15 feature”.
I hope you’re as excited as I am about the upcoming pixel 9 launch, because I have some leaked information that you’re definitely going to want to hear. We’Ve already seen a bunch of leaked information about the pixel 9 series, including a rumor that the pixel 9 Pro might be a bit smaller than the pixel 8 Pro, while still including almost all the specs and features including that triple camera. On the back. Meanwhile, a pixel 9 Pro XL could take the place of today’s pixel 8 Pro. But what I want to focus on right now is the modem inside the pixel9 series.
This is expected to be the Samsung exos 5400. We don’t know too much about this modem yet, but we can expect that it’s probably going to be better than the 5300, which means it should be more reliable, more power efficient and offer stronger data connections. Those of youve been following our Android 15 coverage, know that Android 15 has satellite support baked right in. You also know that the pixel9 series is almost certainly going to come with Android 15 out of the box.
So let’s put two and two together here: we have a modem that supports satellite connectivity and we have an operating system that also supports it. Therefore, it’s practically a given that the pixel 9 series will come with satellite connectivity activated right out of the box, we’re expecting to see satellite connectivity in emergency situations on Android 15 and the pixel 9 series. This will cause it to be at the same level of what iPhone users have. In other words, if you’re in an emergency situation – and you have no data connection whatsoever, you will then be able to use satellite connectivity to contact emergency services.
This can be done as long as the phone has a clear view of the sky. Android might take it a step further and it might come first with the pixel 9 series. What I’m talking about is being able to use satellite connectivity to message, whoever you want.
So not in an emergency situation. If you wanted to say contact your friend, you might be able to do that on Android 15 and the pixel 9. Of course, you’re, probably going to have to pay extra for that. So far, we’ve heard a ton of rumors that T-Mobile is going to be doing this in partnership with SpaceX. So you can probably expect that T-Mobile customers with a pixel 9 probably be able to access satellite connectivity for any type of messaging. They want at some point in the future, hopefully it’ll happen at launch, but if not, maybe sometime afterward, it’s important to note that this will only work for text messaging. You won’t be able to send photos.
You probably won’t have RCS support and you certainly won’t be able to make phone calls, but if you’re somewhere, where you have zero data connection – and you still want to message – your friends you’ll – be able to do that with the pixel 9. If you’re a techsavvy person, you probably know that Qualcomm makes the best modems in the mobile world. Even iPhones use Qualcomm modems. It’S unfortunate that we’re not going to get a Qualcomm modem inside the pixel 9 series, or even most likely the pixel flow 2.
But it is nice to see that we’re getting a good upgrade to the modem that is currently in the pixel 8 series. We hope that this leads to better connectivity and more reliable connectivity in the pixel9 series, and we are super excited about this satellite connectivity thing. It’S going to make it so that we have the same features as iPhone: users have, but even a little bit better. What do you think, though, be sure to jump into the comments, and let us know what you think about these new modem upgrades and also, let us know if you plan on using satellite connectivity with your pixel, 9 or other future Android phone.
But until then I will see you in the next article .
