Hello and welcome to tech deals, i’m your host, rogue and today i have a question for you. Are you looking to upgrade the chair that you sit in for work and gaming? Do you maybe have an old, worn out gaming chair? That’S like several years old? Maybe an office chair, what about a chair with no padding? I can’t tell you how many of you are like happy about that? No! No! No! No! No! What, if i told you you could get this chair for under 150 now that is a deal today in this article, i’m going to introduce you to the fortnite omega inspired respawn chair by ofm. It is an affordable and surprisingly comfortable gaming chair where xd and myself have done a fun, unboxing and build for you. This chair is a race car style gaming chair that provides a luxury and comfort, whether it’s used for intense gaming sessions and climbing to the top of the leaderboards or long work days. Tech and i bought this chair with our own money as one it was on.
A new egg sale for 120 and we did it because two, it’s a fortnight chair and we have a couple of children in the house who might just be interested for that reason alone and third, it has a foot rest in the 12 chairs that i’ve built This is the first chair with a foot rest. The price on amazon at the time of filming is 225 and 249 on newegg. Now i have seen it as low as 185 on amazon, and you can pick this up on a deal on newegg for 1 30. You just have to keep your eye out and watch for the deal.

Now, how does it compare to other brands? Let’S take a look ease of build, i have to tell you this was very easy to build. You open the base, which was very odd. This is the first base i’ve ever had to open. You insert the wheels and the gasket and then you slide the chair on the gasket no big deal.
Interestingly enough, the bolts did not come pre-inserted into the chair. This is my first one. They came in the parts box, so you have to make sure that you are using the correct bolt and washers for what you’re bolting together. Everything did bolt together very nicely.
The quality of the bolts and the threads are good. Surprisingly, everything lined up very very nicely and easily the arm attachment was a bit tricky due to the different type of arm, but nothing major comfort, i’m happy to report. There is a lot of cushion in the cushions. It’S surprisingly comfortable, i like that. There’S no extra lumbar support pillow, we have a pile of lumber support, pillows from all of us, taking them off. So the fact that it didn’t actually come with one is nice.
I do like the headrest that it’s built in it’s just the right thickness and firmness. Now i know that xd has actually commandeered this chair, so i think we need to hear a little bit from him about what he thinks of this chair. Hey guys, xd here, as you can see, we are now in my setup. This is how i have everything laid out when i’m editing, and this is pretty much what i’m doing. Ninety percent of the time when i’m here just wanted to give you guys a couple, opinions and thoughts.
I have about this chair right off the bat. It is 10 times better than the on the seat. Chair that i sat on the first time i got here not that the on the seat was bad. It was just a little bit stiff, i noticed, and especially after those long working sessions, it could make my back a little bit sore, but this one it’s a lot better, has a lot better. Cushioning on the armrests has a lot better cushioning on the back as well.
I was very surprised at how easy it was to build it’s probably the easiest chair that i’ve ever built. It was even easier than the chair. I used to use back at my old setup at my old place and that was an office chair, so that just kind of goes to show you that respawn really knows their stuff when it comes to building these ergonomical slash gaming chairs. So to speak.
I, like the fact that it’s really easy to adjust. You don’t have to spend a lot of time, getting comfortable, really easy to just sit down, adjust it and get right to work on whatever you’re doing or if you’re gaming, it’s nice for that as well. This chair is also a really great complement to the ewin gaming rgb desk that rogue built a couple weeks ago. I highly recommend you check out that video by the way. Now one thing you might want to keep in mind, though, is: what are you going to be using the chair for? Are you going to be like me, editing for seven plus hours in it, or are you just going to be gaming in it? Those are really important things to consider because, as far as comfort level goes, it’s very comfortable for the first five or so hours, but once you get over the seven hour mark, it does start to stiffen up a little bit even with the extra cushioning. So you might want to keep that in mind if you’re going to be using it for work related things, but if you’re just gaming, for you know maybe five hours or less or maybe you like to take a lot of breaks during the day.
So you get up and you kind of stretch then it’ll be fine with all chairs your mileage may vary, or your back may vary in this case. So just keep that in mind before you end up picking this up. Overall, though, this is a really solid chair that i think deserves your attention and for 150 bucks, if you can find it for that price, it’s kind of a no-brainer i mean. Where else are you gon na find a chair with this level of comfort and with this type of build quality and a foot rest, i mean you’re pretty much sold for 150. Now, if you can’t find it for 150 or less, then you might want to consider something else. But if you can find this chair for a good price, i would go ahead and pick this one up.
