Hey i’m donald bell here at makercon 2015 and i’m here with wendy and mark from flipbookit you guys presented at launchpad today. How was that? How was that experience? It was um, frightening and exciting. Was that a good word? I think that was appropriate, exhilarating exhilarating! Well, i was really excited to have you guys there there’s a lot of very serious products out there. A lot of very business focused products out there, but you guys uh your product is not business focused. Tell us about flipbookit we well.
Flipbookit is a diy kit, that is a miniature movie machine and you can put your own images in and make your own animation and it’s silly and it’s fun. And what would you like to say? I would like to say it’s: it’s a it’s a wonderful product. It’S it’s it’s. It fits in the maker community, you know it’s it’s a creative thing and it’s whatever you can imagine inside a looping.
Video is what you can put in a foot bucket and so people who buy the product, i’m assuming the product, is product for sale. Currently, oh yeah uh we sell online, we also sell in the maker shed and uh the product itself. Um is 29.99. Am i allowed to say pricing yeah sure sure, of course, so um we? Actually we sell it’s pretty cheap for a kit 29.95 and then the vintage, the black laminate box is 39.95, and then you can get blank cards to make your own animation for 12.95. They upload their video on their cell phone to our software online and it gives them a pdf that they print on their printer at home, make the cards and then they sit to see their own animation. So it’s the old timey animated gif. It’S it’s! The victorian era – animated gif, maybe or whatever you want to do, yeah, that’s the most exciting part – is what people are doing with these. We’Re we’re amazed that the inventions people make how uh? How are you getting the gears running on this thing? What’S the the magic? That’S in the hat the magic! Well, that’s the magic of my bridge. That’S edward! My bridge, oh show them the inside of your hat. Oh okay, mine has a fake bottom, just a flip book kit with the motor upgrade and we sell a motor kit. The shed sells it and uh it comes with a switch and really you can build a flip book out of anything you want, you don’t have to stick it in one of our boxes, but um, it’s uh, it’s all there and we um. We actually sell arduino kits too so people can move an animation from box to box the box, it’s kind of unlimited what you can do with it all right great well, thanks for talking to me and thanks for joining us here at makercon and uh, and good Luck on on the launch pad all right from makercon 2015.
