Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Drone registration is coming. This is what we know.”.
So the Department of Transportation announced today that it’s going to require that people start registering their drones and it wants to do it because rents keep crashing places they shouldn’t like near airports and on the White House lawn. It wants to be able to pick those drones up and see where they belong to, so we can deal with issues like those when they arise. It doesn’t know exactly which drones will have to register. Yet chances are bigger. Ones like onesies for filmmaking will have to give you registered butts.
Tiny toy ones won’t, but we’ll find out a lot more about how it’s going to work soon. A report and recommendations are coming out in November 20th and after that, we’ll probably start to find out when registrations will start how you’ll register and exactly which types of drones have to be registered. .
