DIY Cable Wraps

Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “DIY Cable Wraps”.
Whether it’s extension, cables or air hoses cable management is a necessary task for any workshop. Even once you have your cables wound it’s nice to have something to keep them tidy. Velcro ties are great, but they’re rarely long enough to handle bigger cables. These diy cable ties are made from scrap pvc pipe and bungee cords they’re quick to make easy to use, and you can size them to fit your needs. You’Ll want to use some narrow pipe one inch, diameter or less is ideal trim it down to a two inch segment and sand down any rough edges measure the segment and mark it into thirds. Lengthwise drill, two holes all the way through the pipe on these markings. Make sure the holes are wide enough to let the bungee cord pass through, but not so wide that you can’t secure the bungee with a knot, trim the hooks off the bungee cord and pass them over a lighter to finish the ends pass one end through the Hole and tie a knot to secure it, use your cable to estimate how much cord you’ll need and cut off the excess finish off the other end with a lighter all you need to do to use your new cable wrap is just loop. The loose end of the bungee cord over the pipe after wrapping, your cable, if you don’t have any pvc around, you can also make these out of some wine corks or even some thick doweling. If you have any great cable management, hacks be sure to put them in the comments below you. .
