Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Destroying the “indestructible” Titan cable”.
This cable is virtually indestructible or so claims the company that makes it Fuse Chicken. Their marketing video goes to great lengths to prove their big claim.. This wire can be run over by a car used for outdoor pull ups and sustain the dangersous end of a chainsaw, but the video also seemed kinda fishy. Here at the Verge.
The word “ indestructible” sounds like a challenge so challenge accepted.. We immediately ordered our own cable from Fuse Chicken and set out for total destruction. There’s. No doubt the cable is strong, you can knot it and coil it and stand your phone up on a desk with it.. The commercial hinted at the wire surviving a dog attack, but our office dogs didn’t seem interested even when we added string cheese..
These features alone are neat but hardly make the wire indestructible. So we asked Dave from the studio to bring in a sword. With one swing. There was already a significant dent..
This thing wouldn’t even charge anymore. With complete destruction. In our sight, we may have gone a little overboard..
We took the wire to EXOvault a metal fabricator in Brooklyn, more than willing to put this wire to the ultimate test., Because why go halfway Or three-quarters of the way Or seven-eighths? The way I think we’ve made our point. Customer service was incredibly nice and apologetic when we let them know we slayed their wire. And held up their lifetime warranty promise..
Realistically, this cable is reasonably priced and definitely matches the heavy duty tests of every day life.. That is … unless you’re a welder with very bad aim. .
