Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Custom rom on the Acer Iconia tab”.
Okay, hate you from down quick video on my ace, iconia tab, a 500. It’S I have now installed a custom ROM. I’Ve routed it and it’s much faster, now, okay, so this is a custom roms based on the Asus Transformer TF, one zero one. Okay and it’s Android version 3.2. Now this tab originally came with 3.0 and then it gives you an option to update 3.1, which you should do and now I’m on 3.2. Now this is a kernel if that’s overclockable, as you can see the well yet. This is an ASA tab and it’s got the Asus look see that the buttons and stuff they’re not there typical, so I’ve clocked it to 1600 megahertz and it does not crash. It’S pretty stable. Minimum is just kept the same.
You know because then, when you turn it on standby and stuff, you don’t want it to be going at full pelt. Okay, so it’s very smooth you can see yeah, I’m just gon na run a quick quadrant test to kind of show you what well, how much difference this is made. So nobody knows you Thunder now: that’s task killer. You don’t really need it on Honeycomb.
It looks than that, but to be honest, I just use it when my tasks go overload like you look humming. I’Ve got other minute, just pretty tap it and if something’s misbehaving I just kill it and then I can reopen it then normally or just force close and then after that I’ll be fine, so yeah, so it gets force closed. Yeah.
Also a my accelerometers all right. Okay, let’s try again whoops okay, say CP, you were testing it on init memory, it’s just yeah hard drive and then it’s gon na go to 2d and 3d graphics, which is basically just gon na run some scenarios through and then it will tell you the bottom. Helmut, how much, how many frames a second, it’s gon na, say, 22, as you can see, it’s not that it’s running at about 30 between 30 and 40.
Sometimes just goes over 40 just running very nicely this yeah between well, you know anywhere from 30 to 50. On that one, and then here we go 35, maybe but eventually so it’s very smooth and you submit your results and got them back and what we got 1903. You can see it’s a way above Nexus.
1. All of these, as you would expect, with a tablet like this notice, it’s a little bit unpredictable because sometimes I’ve done the quadrant and I’ve got over 2000. I’Ve got my highest actually was 2400 with exactly the same ROM.

Now you can’t, you can actually get this for free off mobile apps for free calm, and you know that’s where I got it from yeah then over to does not work yet, but I think they’re finding a a working version of it because it has to be Specifically for the 10.1 inch to play on this, otherwise it’s all distorted, as you can see, yeah the video quality was pretty good of tents and on okay. So if you look, it’s playing very smoothly, sounds not really worth and then just a general walk done, but you know it’s good experience. Plan 10m 10.1 inch much better than like on a 4-inch phone.

I found on some of the levels this can get very demanding, so you know obviously fertile to play this smoothly. It has to be pretty good at processing power, so this is one of the most demanding levels. If you look even with the ads and everything, it’s perfect, no problems.
You know it’s like playing on butter, yeah, okay, but I do actually recommend you get this. It’S on the XDA developers site you can, you can just find it and, as you can see, I’ve got all the widgets from the Acer as a source as well aces from wise ein, whatever the nice Asus time, asus weather and of course you got all these Random built-in apps such as i don’t know, half of them are but earth stuff like got in it polaris office like they are you see that i don’t know what these do, never even tried them, but yeah, it’s quite a lot built in crap, but it doesn’t Slow this thing down, because it’s so fast, so really do you recommend you get this customer on. It’S called ace, prime. There i got em version 19 patch 5, but whichever one I don’t, you can overclock it. I mean overclocking on this. It’S really sped up Amin. It’S pretty good before, but I mean I show you on a Google search, what you can do so I wash I search apples. You see how fast that is so very smooth Wikipedia straight in so good browser. This is actually this browser is Dolphin Browser HD.
You can get it off the market, it’s much better, this support for tabs, so you can just literally click at the top. So if you just click at the top of the screen, open up a new tab and up by 8 now – and you just get this – gives you quick links to Google Facebook, Twitter, dolphin blog with others and yeah, it’s very fast – it’s clean! You can just swipe that way to bring up the plugins and extension bars to that side. You can swipe that way to bring up bookmarks and things, and you can actually, you can click down here and you can draw so like.
If I want to go to Facebook, you can i type in f and then assign it to Facebook. So next time you just ride to Nair they’ll, take you to Facebook, so yeah good browser, and then, when you exit, you can clear the cache and history YouTube. You’Ve got this standard home thing where you can. This is awesome, so that’s they’re all recommended videos where you can just browse, I guess but yeah the HD games. They won’t all appear on the market, but you can download them off the internet, but they have to be specific to the ACE, a Iconia, a 500 or the Asus Eee transformer, because they’re, basically the same Lee. The same tablet same screen size and everything really.
But you know they’re just got different branding slightly different software, but all the games that play on one will play on the other so and generally games em made for the Motorola Xoom. They also play on this, so you can just search. You know HD games for Motorola, Xoom and you’ll find that’s where I’ve got most of these, like spider-man HD I’ll, show you that Versace, and also you no sister cricket, oh yeah, but yeah, graphics, brilliant.
