Cool Tech Under $50 – January

Cool Tech Under $50 - January

Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Cool Tech Under $50 – January”.
What’S happening guys, i’m techsource back at it again with another cool tech video. It seems like a lot of. You really enjoyed my last two cool tech videos, so i’ve decided to bring back the series – i’m not gon na promise anything just yet, but i’ll do my best to do at least one cool tech video a month just like how i used to back in the Good old days for those wondering i’m getting all these cool tech ideas for my discord section, i have an entire channel dedicated to people posting cool tech. I go through there once a day, and i pick the coolest tech to feature in these videos and i also reward the people posting the cool tech with a ticket which can be redeemed for any tech from the prize pool it’s a win-win for everyone.

They post cool tech. I feature in the video and i give them cool tech to keep everyone’s happy, but yeah with that said, let’s begin kicking off episode. Is the kozo bedside desk lamp. If you’ve ever been to one of those fancy hotels, then you probably have seen these lamps before it’s a stylish modern, looking desk lamp with built-in usb ports and two outlets allowing you to charge practically any device you want. You can plug up to three usb devices at the same time and get up to four amps of power from each port simultaneously.

The lamp will also identify the type of device plugged in and delivered a suitable current for that device. You also get two ac power. Sockets as well on the top, along with a power button, the lamp comes with a tiny five watt bulb. However, i swapped that, out with a govi rgb, bulb instead, so that i cannot only control the light straight from my smartphone, but i also have the option of changing the colors and the brightness as well. I still got you guys covered because both the desk lamp and the bulb cost less than 50 dollars and, in my opinion, these make a great combo using the govi bulb opens up so many possibilities. You can add special scenes from the scene. Category select a specific color from the color wheel or set it to the mic option which will change the colors based on the sound it picks up.

So, if you’re throwing a party or listening to music, this is a pretty cool option to use. You can have the lamp automatically turn on and off on certain times during the day. So let’s say you get back from work or school, around 6 p.m and you go to sleep around 12 a.m.

Well, you can set that schedule with the lamp, so it can turn on at 6 pm and shut off exactly at 12 am when you go to sleep. The lamp itself is pretty cool, but it’s way cooler with the govi rgb bulb. This will make a great addition to any desk setup or to add a bit of mood lighting anywhere in your home. For that matter. My wife absolutely loves this lamp and we use it on our nightstand in our bedroom, while watching netflix and chilling next up is a tactical pen from take flight. This little thing is very useful in all types of situations.

It’S basically a pen, that’s disguised as an eight in one multi-tool, so check this out. This is really cool. To start off, you get a fancy, little gift box that comes with two additional ink replacements and a spare battery you twist off from the middle portion to pull out the ballpoint pen, which actually writes really smooth.

The other end of the pen has a tiny button that activates the flashlight very useful in certain situations or if your power is out, if you want to replace the battery, just remove the cap pretty straight forward all right. So, moving back to the pen on the other end is a glass breaker. It’S basically a sharp pointy end. That’S supposed to help you crack open a window during emergencies or if your ex cheated on you – and you know where the car is parked, it could be useful there too. I’M really curious that the glass breaker feature actually works on this pen, so i went ahead and borrowed some glassware from home to test it out baby if you’re watching this video by the way, i’m just i’m doing this for science and for my subscribers. So i apologize we’re going to start off uh with something fairly light and thin, maybe you’re supposed to put some force. Okay. Well, that’s obvious! If you put force to anything, it’ll break, let’s go with something: a little thicker like a wine glass, very fashionable wine glass. Whoa, this is actually becoming very dangerous. All right, let’s do just one more and then we’ll move on uh, here’s a really thick beer glass from red lobster. This is about twice the thickness of the last wine glass i broke. So here we go. Oh yeah, this one’s this one’s tough to break, but you guys can see i cracked it. I cracked it a little bit. It works.

It actually works. You just got to put some force into it: yeah wow, okay, to access the rest of the tools, just split the pen, one more time from the middle revealing the four in one tool, the tip is actually a screwdriver, which is pretty handy when you decide to Build a pc while you’re bored, the tiny gap, is technically a wrench which honestly is pretty useless. If you ask me, it only works on one size. You also get a tiny saw which isn’t super sharp or anything, but if you find yourself strangled by some rope, it can definitely help cut through that and, lastly, it has a built-in bottle, opener, which is probably the most useful tool on here during quarantine. I think this will make the perfect gift for anyone who likes hiking, camping or just being in the outdoors. You know you never really know when you’re going to be trapped on a glass.

This can be very useful in some situations. This next item is mostly for my apple users out there or anyone rocking a productivity focus setup. This is the gazepad. It’S a wireless fast charging mouse mat.

I can’t explain it any better than that. You get this really sleek. Looking super thin rectangular mouse mat made out of p leather. The mac comes with two usb c ports, which is pretty cool because it gives you the option of plugging in the cable to best suit the style of your setup.

However, i would have loved to see one of the usbc ports on the left side so that i can have the option of routing the cable straight under the keyboard. The right side of the mouse mat has three built-in coils that will wirelessly charge your device as soon as you set it down. The light on the bottom will also indicate the status of the charge. Blue means that it is ready to charge green means that it is currently charging and red means that you have incorrectly placed the device on the mat.

One thing to keep in mind is that the mat won’t charge your device through a thick case. It only works with those super thin, silicone cases or without a case for the best experience. This mat also works with apple air pods and any device out there that supports wireless charging. The surface of the mat is really smooth and i like how soft it is while resting my palms on it.

I haven’t had any issues using it with my gaming mouse back at home. However, this mat is not for gaming, so i can’t recommend it for that, especially considering you don’t get that much real estate to work with, maybe for casual games, it’s fine but anything competitive. It’S a no-go for me, it’s more so for productivity. I do have an mx master 2s that i use a lot and it works really great with that. Next up, we have the point: touch digital alarm clock. This is a pretty cool, two-in-one minimalistic clock that only displays the time, but can also charge your phone wirelessly up to 10 watts. Oh did i mention. It’S got rgb. There is a pretty sweet underglow that adds a bit of ambient lighting as well. You can select from seven static, colors or pick the rgb option, which cycles through all the colors one by one, but you do have the option of turning it off. Also, the clock does come with a trial, lock option that locks the device after 30 seconds of idling, and you can set up to two alarms by tapping on the l button. Personally, i don’t like the annoying alarm sound.

It makes so i probably won’t use the alarm feature on here, since i prefer the alarm sounds on my iphone a lot more, but it’s still a nice feature to have you also get an extra usb port in the back, which is great. If you want to charge an additional device along with your smartphone, the main selling point for this clock is the minimalistic sleek design. With the wireless charging capabilities, the rgb lighting is just a nice plus wrapping up the episode. We have the oscar travel backpack, one of the things that caught my attention with this backpack is the super clean aesthetic.

It doesn’t have a million pockets or zippers on the outside, and that’s because it’s got an anti-theft design. This means you have to worry about anyone trying to steal your psa 10 pokemon cards while traveling or going to school. It also features a built-in usb port on the side for convenient charging. You just have to put in a power bank from the inside and plug in your charging cable from the out. The backpack also uses eva material on the side that sits on your back and it’s actually really light and comfortable one of the features i love about. This backpack is that it comes with a luggage, strap which is really important for me, since i travel a lot or used to travel a lot pre-covered having the option of attaching this to my luggage is super convenient in terms of compartments. It’S got quite a few. I was able to fit in a lot of tech and school supplies, but let’s start with the outside, it has a hidden pocket in the front which is great in storing sensitive documents like a passport or even your wallet, along with two side, pockets that are big Enough to store a one pint bottle.

I also like how the backpack opens up a full 90 degrees allowing for easy access. The backpack says it supports up to a 14-inch laptop, but surprisingly i was able to fit my 15-inch asus zephyrus gaming laptop comfortably. On top of another 15-inch chromebook, i personally like the dark gray color scheme the most, but they do come in either black or light gray as well. If you have any kids or younger siblings, and you want them to be the cool kid in class, get them.

This backpack, so that is all the cool tech i have for you today, as always, if you guys enjoy the series, consider tossing a like before you head out and i’ll continue to do these at least once a month, i’ll drop a link to all the cool Tech feature down below, if you guys want to check it out. Thank you so much for watching and i’ll see you very soon in the next one. .
