Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “COD: MWII — Testing on an i5-6500 + RX 6600 8GB — Benchmark — Will It Play?”.
Hello and welcome to Tech deals. Thank you. All supporters who make this channel possible well at least make part of this channel possible. Your support is greatly appreciated. This is Call Of Duty, Modern Warfare – 2, the remaster that hurt.
I didn’t actually play this battle. My 17 year old son did that’s why this is being made a member exclusive video. This is being made a supporter exclusive video on float plane. I don’t know how representative this is of this game.
He only played one battle on this machine. This is the I5 6500 featuring the RX 6600. Normally, when we Benchmark uh multiplayer games like Call of Duty, we play multiple battles and do multiple runs to find an average to make sure that the results were getting are reasonable. In this case, he only played one battle.
I have nothing else to compare it to this map. This particular battle may just very well have been better than average or worse than average. So I don’t want to publish this as a main video, because you just never know. Instead, I’m going to talk about the fact that this plays way better than I would have expected it to, because I’ve seen how much CPU usage this will use on a modern PC on the flip side. I have seen my son play much better than this as well, so some of it may be the input lag. Some of it may be the one percent lows some of it may just be the time of day he was playing and he just happened to play against some pretty good players. He plays this way more than I do, and he is much better at this than I am I frankly it’s been 20 years since I was good at these games. I used to be pretty decent, I mean I was never the Ace of the bass in Counter-Strike 1.6, which, when it was a half-life mod 20-ish years ago – oh my God, I’m dating myself, but I was pretty good, but man against these kids. These days I am 47 years old and against 20 year olds, who have much faster reflexes. I just it’s just not the same anymore and of course I took 20 years off to run companies and get married and have three kids, and so I took a long long break for playing these games. I never really quite got back into it. The ultra competitive nature of it just sort of turned me off, because some people play these things in beta. They play them. For you know, 100 hours the weekend the game comes out. They already have everything unlocked their Ace of the bass players. They take it so seriously, it’s difficult to compete against those kind of people, and I just don’t have the time or the interest in doing so.
I much prefer slower turn based games these days myself, which is why I play a lot of XCOM 2 or if I play games like the division, two or Ghost Recon breakpoint, I played them in single player mode and then you’ve got games like cyberpunk, which is Only single player and, of course, does require some reflexes, except for the fact that I can turn the difficulty detail level down and just play it as an interactive movie. I freely admit that when I play cyberpunk, I play it on easy difficulty mode. I’M not looking for a challenge, I’m looking for an interesting story and a good time I want to unwind. At the end of the day, I want to pour myself a glass of iced tea or make myself a nice coffee and just sit back, relax and just blast everybody. If I wanted to be super competitive, I’d join a tournament hey that was a pretty good shot. So here we have 74 frames per second rolling average 43 frames per second one percent low and a frame time graph. That’S really not that bad! Let me know in the comment section what you think of this now this is 1080p Ultra detail. The RX 6600 is definitely getting a workout here.
The clock speed is up around 2 gigahertz. The usage while not at 100, does get close to 100 at times, and so, if you want to play this at 1080p, Ultra detail you’re going to need something like an RX, 6600 or RTX, 2070 or similar. If you want to play at 1440p Ultra then you’re going to want an RX, 6700 XT or perhaps a RTX, 3070 or 3070 TI or similar or just turn the detail down. Not everything has to be ultra detail.
I love Ultra detail and cyberpunk. I love Ultra detail in Ghost Recon breakpoint, with all the trees. I don’t know. The Call of Duty needs Ultra detail, at least for this now, if you’re playing the campaign story mode put Ultra on but the campaign’s easy, I mean that’s.
If you fail that, then you really shouldn’t play the multiplayer. What can I say? I really don’t have anything else to add here. You guys all get the point. I’M just gon na leave this with another.
Thank you for all of you who support the Channel. All of you who are, I guess, patrons, won’t see this. Unfortunately, patreon does not have a setup that works for the way. I do this when I upload this these videos, as members only on YouTube, only members can see them and I have no way to give members access to patrons, and so, if you’re, a patron and you’re, not a YouTube member or a float plan sub, you won’t See this I wish there. Yes, I know I can upload. Videos is unlisted, but then I’d have to upload the video twice one for members and then one unlisted to post a link over on patreon.
And, of course, if anybody on patreon shares the link elsewhere. That, of course, everybody can see it not that I tremendously care it’s not the end of the world, but if anybody over on patreon shares that they can see it, and I can’t make a members video, that’s unlisted, because it doesn’t sound like notifications to members the Problem is YouTube. Does not like the same video being uploaded twice? If you do, it actually often kicks back an error message saying this. Video has already been uploaded, delete this video. Now I could re-render at a different resolution or different uh bit rate. I could change the footage ever so slightly and YouTube’s Bots probably wouldn’t recognize it.
However, it’s enough to just get members only videos made – and I have to budget my time so I’m not going to do all that patrons get charts for the most part they get filming scripts for the most part. When I do them, I haven’t done them as much in the past month or two, but usually I’ve been doing them and I upload them over to patreon, and I don’t upload those from Members or for float plan subscribers and if you’re, watching this on Flo play. Thanks, thank you for the support I appreciate it float.
Plane gives me a better deal than YouTube. Does your five dollars on float playing goes further with me by a decent amount? Youtube takes 30 and float plane takes less than 30 percent. I am appreciative to Linus for his generosity and giving me a good deal with the split cut there. So, if you are supporting me on Flow plane know that the vast majority of your support comes directly to me and just barely enough goes to cover the hosted costs for these videos. I do wish that Linus would expand, float plane a little bit. I guess I did have something else to say I was. I was all ready to go. Half of you clicked away – and here I am uh I do wish lightness – would do more with floatplane he’s used, it sort of a a backup place a place for people to support him he’s got a decent number of supporters over there. I haven’t seen him.
Add anybody new to floatplane recently unless one’s been added the past couple of weeks, and I missed it, he he talks about on the WAN show he’s mentioned it in a few videos, but he’s never really given it the drive to grow and expand that the original Pitch wow was it 2017 2018? Has it been four years five years, four years man, it’s been a while now float. Plane was supposed to be. This awesome alternative to YouTube that was going to be open to a lot of creed, ah Jew whoa yikes. That looks like it hurt floating was supposed to be.
This really awesome platform that was going to have hundreds of creators, eventually thousands of creators that were free to upload content, free of modernization, restrictions free of of the the nuances, the not nuances free of the annoyances of YouTube system. Even if you upload un uh, unlisted videos, non-public but visible videos, you’re still limited to the same uh copyright restrictions and content restrictions as any other video. If you upload a video, they contain something. Youtube doesn’t like, even if it’s for your own personal use, even if it’s a private video that you share with one friend YouTube, loses their bloody mind, but that hasn’t happened with slow playing, and I can only imagine I’ve not actually talked to Linus in quite some Time I can only imagine that the economics haven’t worked out, not all of the creators. He has added post their subscriber counts, but if you do and compared to linuses they’re all tiny I’ve seen a couple of other content.
Creators on there that have 400 or 500 or 600 paid Subs, which is nice, it’s more than I have but 400 to 600 paid Subs. Neither supports float plane as a business, nor Alters the equation for a content creator. A content creator is not going to exclusively be uploading the floor plan.
If something happens to YouTube with 600 paid Subs, they they just aren’t it’s with respect. It’S a supplemental income, it doesn’t replace YouTube and I think that Linus originally had the idea that floor plane could replace YouTube uh, but even with his 20 plus thousand paid supporters on Flow plane that definitely isn’t happening. Now that he’s got like 80 employees, which is utterly ridiculous, but I know he’s doing labs and a bunch of other things. I get that anyway.
Thank you all so very much for watching and I hope to see you in the next article foreign .
