Hey, what’s up folks how’s it going! This is watch hope you guys are all doing well and in this article we’re going to be talking about budget pc cases. Now, specifically, we have five cases over here and they’re. All going to roughly retail for around the 50 mark or lower you’ll have some exceptions here and there, depending upon where you are in the world and when you’re purchasing uh these cases. But essentially most people want to spend most of their money on the cpu, gpu, motherboard, ram, etc, and the case isn’t that important. But it’s important to get something. That’S going to be uh quality built, it’s going to make your system easy to work around with, and certainly upgrade, and all these cases in this article facilitate that need very well so without any further ado, let’s get right into it now the first case that we’re Going to talk about is the zalman t5. This is a mini tower case, a designed for micro, atx, motherboards or itx boards as well.
It has a brushed kind of metal. Like finish at the front, it looks very clean and understated perfect for really anybody out there. It has a usb 3.0 at the top portion and inside and there’s room for up to four system fans, so one 120 millimeter at the front. It actually has a bottom event for front installation. You can have a 92 millimeter four exhaust at the rear and two uh 120 millimeter fans at the side for side exhaust inside the case is really well thought out. You have a bottom mounted. Psu configuration uh, cable management. Holes are really nicely arranged, including a huge cutout for installing your cpu cooler. You can also support up to 300 millimeter graphics cards, all of the ventilation holes have pre-installed uh dust filters, which is going to be definitely nice for keeping the internal system as dust free. As possible, lastly, in terms of storage configuration, you can install up to three two and a half inch ssds and two three and a half inch hard drives in this case as well.
So there’s plenty of room for all your storage devices and you can install an optical drive at the very top like most of your traditional pc cases. Now next we’re going to talk about the master box, light 3 from cooler master. Now i’m a big fan of cooler master. They make excellent products extremely well built at a really competitive price tag, and this chassis is certainly no exception. Firstly, one of the reasons why i like this – it still has a very nice clean understated.
Look but it’s very well thought out inside you have room for a 240 millimeter radiator at the front or two 120 millimeter frames for frontal intake and a rear exhaust fan. That’S quite large, 120 millimeter. For being this compact size of a case. The psu is located at the top, which i’m not a huge fan of in terms of storage space.
You do have a room for up to three two and a half inch ssds, as well as two a three and a half inch hard drives, and you can obviously install them into the optical a drive bay, which is uh, definitely nice. It makes a good use of that because a lot of people are using optical drives anymore, and you can obviously install more ssds using double-sided tape or using m.2 drives. Another uh really nice thing about this case is the internal room is actually quite large.
You can actually support up to a 345 millimeter graphics card. Not a lot of case at this stature. Can uh claim that. So if you want to use really the biggest card on the market, you can do so no problem, as well as using huge uh, cpu uh, liquid cooling solutions, as well as air cooling solutions.
So there’s really no limitation when it comes to this case. Besides, being micro, atx or itx certified now moving on to our third and fourth selection, which i’m going to lump together, uh, both of them come from the same manufacturer, a company called diy pc and the models are j22 and bjo1 again, very, very similar. Looking at pcs, the cool thing about them is they’re atx certified, but they come in a fairly uh small, mid tower form factor.
So they’re not going to take up too much room very, very nicely built inside a pretty well thought out in terms of cable management. Have all the modern amenities and most uh that you’re going to find in the pc cases that cost anywhere between 80 to 120 dollars so uh? The big thing about these two cases is they’re about 50, canadian or about 40 dollars u.s, and if you can still find them on newegg or on ebay, they’re, definitely a steal. They can support up to 240 millimeter radiators have plenty of room for all. Your ssds have a psu shroud, which is something you’re only going to find in really higher end cases, but it’s included in here. Most of them do come with a window, so you can get a side panel with that window.
So if you’re going to put some nice hardware in, it’s, definitely not going to make your pc look cheap at all and they are very premium build cases at a extremely aggressive price tag. Obviously, both of them have a little bit different external design, but generally internally, they’re going to be very similar in terms of build quality and overall design and fit and finish. So. It’S really up to you, in terms of which one is personally available to you and which one you personally, like the external aesthetics of i personally like both of them, but you be the judge of that again.

The last and final case that we’re going to talk about is the roswell srm01 and now this case actually retails for 30 dollars, canadian, which is about 20 dollars u.s, if you can still find it for that price, both in canada and the us. That’S an absolutely steel. The only really limitation is that it is a micro, atx mini tower pc case, so you are limited to itx, motherboards and micro atx motherboards. But besides that it still supports a full size, atx, a power supply. You have a front loaded, 120 millimeter fan for frontal intake and a hundred millimeter exhaust fan, as well as a side fan for side exhaust.
It can support a very large graphics card up to 300 millimeters in terms of length, so no real limitation there for most people’s needs and again for the price point and the overall look and fit and finish you’re going to not have any complaints with this case Whatsoever, there’s lots of cable management holes, a cutout for a cpu cooler installed to make things really really simple and straightforward and usb a 3.0. Even so, i don’t know how they’re able to really sell this case for the price point, but it really makes you wonder why you would pay so much more for other pc cases when you just need a clean, looking box. That makes installing new and old hardware really simple and straightforward.
In terms of drive storage, you have officially two spots for either two ssd drives or two mechanical 3.5 inch drives. But if you’re not going to install any kind of optical drive, you definitely can make room at the top of the case for more uh storage, uh solutions, whether that be ssd or a physical 3.5 inch hard drives. So that being said, uh there is a top mounted uh psu configuration which i’m again not a huge fan of, but other than that. There’S no real weakness of the case so definitely check it out if you’re on an extreme budget and to want a great case.
