BeQuiet Pure Power 11 — 600W 80+ Gold Power Supply — My Thoughts…

BeQuiet Pure Power 11 — 600W 80+ Gold Power Supply — My Thoughts...

Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “BeQuiet Pure Power 11 — 600W 80+ Gold Power Supply — My Thoughts…”.
Hello and welcome to tech deals today i have a very nice power supply to show you the be quiet pure power: 11, 80 plus gold, semi-modular 600 watt power supply retailing for 99, sometimes on sale, links in the video description below to amazon, newegg and ebay check. Those out compare prices and if it makes sense to you, please use those links when shopping. It is always appreciated. Now, if you look on the desk here, you will see a bunch of different products. These are all either already been covered in different videos or will be covered in upcoming videos.

In fact, just after doing this i’ll be doing this 1200 watt beast right here, but that is not for this video. This pure power 11 is a economical but advanced high quality power supply for a mid-range build. When it comes to power supplies, i could sit here and talk for 28 minutes, but that kind of defeats the point of an unboxing video. So i’m not going to do that, i’m going to give you the short short version.

This has a quality silent fan in it. It is not a silent wings. 3. You have to step up to the straight power 11 in either gold or platinum version.

To get that, but it does have a very nice 120 millimeter fan that is reasonably quiet. It is be quiet. After all, it is semi modular, meaning the 24 pin atx power, connector is attached, but the rest of the cables uh can be detached and you only have to plug in the one that you want.

There is a version of this for about 20 less 79 dollars. Instead of 99 same ratings same basic unit, but it is not modular all the power connectors are permanently wired into it. If you don’t care about the modular nature of it, then you can save 20 by getting the non-modular version of this. We will link to that down below as well. This has a ton of connectors to it enough for most people, including four pci, express power connectors which okay, you shouldn’t, be doing a sli or crossfire on a 600 watt power supply, so that’ll run any single graphics card, not counting, maybe the current top of the Line ones which we’ll get into once. I open this up here in just a minute, but if you’re doing something modest like an rtx, 3060 ti a 30 70, maybe an rx, 6800, 6800 xt, oh ryzen, 7, 5800x or an i7, maybe upcoming, 11 700k. This might very well do the job for you just fine, but that’s enough talking.

I have said enough: let’s open this up. First things: first, let’s take our handy dandy, fish box, cutter, two gold stars to everybody who can tell me where these come from. Let’S get the plastic off of this at various times during this unboxing, the camera will be overhead, so you can see this.

BeQuiet Pure Power 11 — 600W 80+ Gold Power Supply — My Thoughts...

We have been filming at this unboxing station now for about a month we’re still kind of tweaking things and working things out. We will continue to improve our setup here, some nice asmr for all of you. Okay, that’s enough of that and we will turn our power supply upside down, because there is a seal sticker not to be confused with either the animal or the navy variety and then actually it just comes out just like this now i have said many times in These videos, quality products come in quality packages and cheap products come in cheap packages.

Now, there’s nothing wrong with cheap packaging, there’s nothing wrong with cheap products, but if you’re spending 100 on a power supply, it should be at least somewhat decent and inside. We have cardboard and brown cardboard at that. Well, what can i say? Um it’s a 99 power supply, not a 200 power supply. If you want fancier packaging spend more money. Pure power, 11. Exceptional, quiet, superior reliability, now user manual, it’s a power supply. Hopefully, you know how to use one, but i do want to point out that they make this in 400. 500, 600 and 700 watt variations. So if you need a little bit more power, you can certainly spend a few dollars more. If you need less, you can certainly spend less. This is, of course, printed in lots of different languages. The english portion, which, since i speak english and the part that i care about, runs to copyright.

You are not allowed to reproduce, disclose, publish or store the contents of this documentation seriously. It’S sure – and this is man – you know it’s nicely printed and it’s nicely covered, but okay, we have a bunch of modular cables right here. These are all black and very flat making for easier cable management, routing uh. These are the parts that actually plug into the power supply, and then you can see here.

We’Ve got a bunch of six plus two pci express power connectors and then here we’ve got a whole bunch of sata connectors, a couple of molex connectors and a floppy connector. Taking this out of the box, it is wrapped in a very exciting bubble, wrap what else do we have here i’ll take these out. I mentioned this was semi-modular and basically what that means is the main power connector is permanently attached. I said it was the 24 pin atx connector. It looks like it also. Has the cpu power connectors permanently attached, which is fine, you ha, i mean what modern system doesn’t use, cpu power connectors, so you’re going to use those regardless. That’S not a big deal and we’ll just rip that off silica packet. Actually, it says dis, dissicant, desiccant, dessicant, it’s a silica packet do not eat, keep it away from children.

Well, then, why do they? Let me touch it we’ll. Take the bubble wrap off. Well. This looks very nice, i mean it is definitely uh, it’s a power supply. What do you want now? This is pretty cool when i turn it around on this side.

You can see this very nice gold ring right here. Interesting note: the non-modular version of this power supply does not have this gold ring more or less the same power supply same features same connectors, but everything is permanently wired here into it rather than having the modular connectors. If we take a look on the back, you can see some ventilation, so essentially it sucks air in through the bottom and blows it out.

The back. We’Ve got our hard wired switch right there. There is no um 110 to 220 volt switch, because this is an auto switching power supply.

It works between 100 and 240 volts. You would need a different plug if you were outside of america, of course, because that’s it comes with an american style plug since i’m in america, but it uses the standard pc power connector. So you can use this anywhere in the world.

Looking at the various specs here again, this is not a review, i’m not going to get into too much detail, but this is a split rail power supply and it provides 576 watts of power on the 12 volt rails, there’s one and two and then of course, 600 watts total there’s a pretty decent amount of power on the 3.3 and 5 volt rails, 140 watts a lot of power supplies have been going down on that side of putting everything on because most everything uses the 12 volt power. These days, your video cards and cpu and everything else, and then your motherboard steps that down. But i do think it’s interesting that it’s not a single rail power supply which an awful lot of power supplies are these days and it’s completely black there and it just says, be quiet and that is embossed. That’S not a sticker.

That looks very nice. A warranty void if removed okay, we won’t do that. The number of these modular connectors that you get is going to vary from unit to unit we’ve got two pci express here and then three drive connectors higher units will have sometimes one or two more lower units. Will have one or two less, as i mentioned, this has four pci express power connectors, and this is actually two cables in one.

I will go ahead and open this up. So i’ll show you the length of these things here, i’m gon na say very. I don’t know about all of you, but that is a long, zip tie, and this is actually two cables and this part plugs into your power supply. And then here are your six plus two. So in theory, you could put two video cards that need two a-pin connectors, but 600 watts is generally not going to be enough for that. But what it does mean is that if you do need extra pci express power connectors for whatever reason you certainly are covered. One important thing to keep in mind when picking a power supply is, if you only have one graphics card, and maybe one drive to attach any power supply, will cover that. What, if you have a more complex build, and you want to put more devices into your system – that’s when you’re going to want to take an account of what connectors are at the end of each cable? And do you have enough of the right kind of connectors on the right cables to actually connect everything in your system, because one model of a power supply might do a better job of it than another? Just really briefly, this is one of the drive connector cables right here. You can see that this part goes into the power supply and over here you have one sata, two sata and three sata. So there are three sata connectors at the end of the first cable, the second cable.

This part goes into the power supply itself and you’ve got one sata, one four pin molex and another four pin molex. So two molex and one sata on that cable. Yes, you can use adapters, but that clutters up your system and creates additional failure, points and then the final cable. This goes into your power supply and then, after a decent amount of stretch, sata sata, molex floppy. Now that’s a lot of sata connectors and a lot of molex connectors and a floppy connector. Now i know some of you are going to say: floppy drives and 20 20.

This is dumb now there’s a lot of other devices that use a floppy power connector. Besides, just a floppy drive, so it’s handy to have for an add-in card, a device or something that does use floppy power and then, as i mentioned before, this is a much much thicker cable. With your pci express power. Connectors you’ve got a fairly decent standard power.

Cable included, i do like the fact these are your screws to screw your power supply into your case, and they provide zip ties for cable management, which is pretty nice and then finally, i mentioned uh permanently attached. This is the 24 pin 20 plus four uh 24. Pin atx power connector and then the cpu connector. It is worth noting. This does not have two cpu connectors.

So if you have a motherboard, that’s got two eight pin or an eight pin plus a four pin. This would not have a connector, but in fairness, if you have such a motherboard, maybe a 600 watt power supply is not enough step up to the 700 step up to something a bit more so and of course, by chance. If you only have a four pin, it does split into two four pin connectors. Should you need them? Well, there you have it. There is a look at the pure power, 11 80 plus gold, semi modular power supply from be quiet. I will be using this in an upcoming, build which one exactly i honestly don’t know yet, but it’s a nice power supply. I’Ve used be quiet, power supplies in other builds. Previously, my personal gaming pc at home has one of the straight power 11’s in it. Not that particular unit, but it does and it’s very quiet and very reliable. So i have no complaints, as i mentioned before, there will be links down in the video description below to amazon, newegg and ebay. Those are affiliate links.
