Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Apple AirPods Pro 2 – Unboxing & Review!”.
What’S going on guys, it’s your average consumer, and today we are checking out the brand new airpods second generation. I think it’s safe to say we were all pretty excited when they announced these. I didn’t see them coming. I was hoping for him, and here they are so today we’re going to do a quick unboxing, go over all of new features and changes and go over how much of an upgrade it is compared to the original airpods Pro. So, let’s start off with the unboxing, see what we got and just pop this open really quickly.
The pull is so quiet, it’s like kind of satisfying, so we got some paperwork up top airpods Pro all the features all that good stuff. Now, let’s see what we got here, so we got the airpods pull this up. Okay, so we got the charger in the Box, it’s a lightning to USBC. You also get some ear tips now they did change some things here.
So it’s a nice little packaging, but now they include extra small, which is new small and large and of course the medium can be found on the actual airpods. Okay. So that’s everything you get inside of the box now it’s time for the airpods baby, so pull that off and then we’ll just push this out. Okay – and here they are at first glance, looks like a pretty standard airpods Pro case.
So while it looks the same, there are some subtle changes so on the left side of the case here, you’ve actually got a loop, so you can add, like a lanyard to it. Let’S say: you’re walking around you don’t have pockets. You want a different way of carrying around your case. You can go ahead and loop one in here, but also down here.
You might see there are some little dots now. This is actually a speaker Grille. So the new case now has the ability to let off a small sound. So if you’re using the find my app, you can go ahead and locate your airpods case the case.
If the airpods, not in there as well, really okay, I lose the airpods more than the case. That sounds pretty normal. This is so big, but all right, it’s cool, it’s cool! I got it what’s. Nice too, though, is it? Has Precision tracking? So you know how the air tags work, where you can just kind of look at your phone and it’ll.
Tell you what direction to ago. You can do that with these now should make looking for them in you know, couch cushions and your car a lot easier, but then inside we’ve got the actual air pods, and these have undergone quite a few changes as well. I’M actually just going to go ahead and pair these up, while we’re here so now we’re all connected – and these are the airpods wait – is the stem different.
You have your airpods on you all right, so we got Carl’s airpods over here, nope, the Bottom’s, the same. Never mind keep trying to look for these differences that don’t exist either way guys. Let me tell you about the differences that do exist so now these right here they look like a pair of airpods pro physically, not too much has changed here, the same overall size and shape, but what’s different here is what’s on the inside, so these two have Apples H2 chips inside which means that they’re going to have that active noise, canceling transparency mode, where it’s doing all of the work behind it and with these we’re supposed to be getting two times better active noise cancellation. So we’re going to be putting that through the test, also the sound quality, so the sound quality has been reimagined as Apple says, so we should be expecting even better sound quality out of these compared to the previous ones. Now, what’s really huge is that these also have touch controls now. So that’s a feature: we’ve been wanting for a while. We know the force touch controls where you can squeeze down on this area, but now this area responds to capacitive touch. So now you can swipe up to increase the volume or swipe down um for no reason now something that Apple’s really been pushing with. These is having a personalized listening experience.
Now, with this, you can go into personalized spatial audio and what’s going to be happening here, is we’re going to use the true depth camera and basically it’s going to do a scan. It’S going to take into consideration your head, shape your ear, shape and tune your air pods, so that it gives you your own personalized, audio experience. So, let’s give it a shot. So we’ll start with the front view.
So it’s a little different from face ID nice, and now we are, we’ve got personalized audio now. What’S really cool about this feature is that it’s tied to your iCloud account, which is obviously encrypted, so you don’t have to worry about capturing any data and it being sent in where it’s all encrypted, but where the benefit comes from is now you’ll be able to Use your personalized audio experience with any Apple device that you choose. So if you jump to your iPad, your Mac, your Apple TV, these are still going to be tuned. With the experience that you’re going to get from your iPhone, I got ta. I got ta test. It out and see if it makes an actual difference. You know so it’s time for me to listen to some music spend some time with these I’ll. Give you guys My overall thoughts, alright guys, so I spent some time with these guys over here I got ta say I am impressed. These are legit. Now there are a few different things that I wanted to try out when using these, of course, that active noise cancellation, transparency mode, of course, the overall sound quality.
So those are like the main three things and I got ta say you guys. Sometimes you just you hear the marketing and you’re just like okay sure you improved the active noise, canceling, okay, you improve the sound quality and you just hear that and you’re like yeah yeah. That’S just marketing mumbo jumbo, but I feel, like apple actually delivered here. So, with the active noise canceling, I got ta say you guys. I am very impressed very impressed when you compare them to the original airpods Pro. It is night and day these.
These are significantly better. The new ones are, I, I believe the two times claim it’s legit. If active noise cancellation is a big deal for you, uh to me in my ears. They sound a lot better than the previous version, so much so that I had to go ahead and grab these guys for me when it came to noise, canceling earbuds these kind of held the crown.
These were the Champs, and I got ta say I’m not sure which one I’d give the crown to. I feel like apples if they’re not better they’re right on their heels, where these have an advantage. Is that the actual ear tips can go quite a bit deeper in your ear to provide an even better seal than these? So I feel like it has that leg up on the air pods, but when it comes to like the actual active noise cancellation, I don’t know I’d like part of me, wants to say this has a better active noise cancellation. But if they’re tied – and maybe this is slightly better – I think this because of the physical aspects – maybe edges it out a bit. Now when it comes to the transparency mode, I mean Apple’s the best to do it. They it sounds so natural.
I’M able to talk to you guys and not speak at an elevated volume, because I can hear myself very clearly it’s it’s like. I have nothing in my ears. I can physically feel that I’ve got these air pods in, but with the way the transparency mode works. It feels completely natural now Apple mentioned an Adaptive transparency mode. That’S supposed to protect your hearing when it comes to like really loud sounds that just come out of nowhere, and I don’t know I haven’t experienced anything different with the at transparency mode. It all sounds the same, but for me having something like that is just a bonus.
I think the transparency mode is perfect, as is but that feature I haven’t, really felt the effects of it just yet. So when it comes to these wireless earbuds, because active noise cancellation and transparency mode usually come as a combo as a combo, I think these are the best. There are out right now.
Transparency mode is unrivaled. Active noise cancellation is right up there with the very best. So as a package, these are really really good, but now, let’s talk about the sound quality, that’s another one of those things.
I was a little skeptical. You know it’s like all right, improved from the ground up and then this is like all right. I threw them in my ears. I was like oh snap, okay sounds legit, I’m a long time, airpod Pro user swap back to my airpod Pros and the difference was pretty jarring.
So the second gen has a much Fuller, sound you’re, definitely going to get a lot more Bass, where you kind of expect bluetooth, earbuds to just sound like they’re, just giving you the audio, not tons of fullness. You don’t get like The Full Experience you would get from a pair of like over-ear headphones. I feel like apple with this one, just kind of close the gap a little bit uh making these sounds a lot more full, a lot more rich with more bass. Using these kind of opened up my eyes to what the originals were missing that I didn’t even realize like I guess you just expect a lot less from just you know, standard earbuds like this, so when you’re using them, you know you like. Oh, this sounds great. It sounds fine, but then you throw something like this in your ear and you’re like oh, so this is what it’s supposed to sound like now. Is it worth upgrading if your airpods Pro work? You’Re chilling, you know they’re fine, but if you are someone who says like, I want a little more than it works, I want just like a even better experience. Then you go for these because these absolutely improve upon all the things that this was. But if you are getting your first pair of wireless earbuds, then I say these are the ones you have to go for these if you have an iPhone. These are these are 100. The right choice and, what’s great, is that they didn’t increase the price or anything. It’S still the same 250 that the originals cost and you just get so much more with these, so I’m very, very happy with these uh. These are definitely going to be my new main pair of bluetooth earbuds. So these are going to be replacing my Beats fit Pro.
Those were my dailies um. This is everything I need from being able to find the case. Sound quality, being good, improved, active noise cancellation, transparency Mode, still great, it’s a no-brainer not to mention they improved. The battery life, so now you get six hours of battery and 30 hours total with the case. What’S cool, is you get an extra hour if you don’t use the active noise cancellation, so you get seven hours of battery life? Well, it’s also a fun fact. I didn’t know this, but transparency mode actually doesn’t drain any battery. So the same is it’s the same as not having active noise cancellation on you basically get that feature for free, no battery charge, not to mention there are actually a bunch of different ways to charge. This check this out guys so over here we’ve got a magsafe charger. You throw that on there with no problem, that’ll charge it and what’s cool is if you’re in the Apple ecosystem.
You’Ve got yourself an Apple Watch charger. It now has support for that as well. It will also charge with this it’ll also charge with your standard Qi, wireless charger and, of course, with a lightning cable, so lots of different options.
You don’t need to walk around with a million things you can just charge with whatever you got on you except the USBC cable can’t charge for that. Oh wait! That means it also charges with this guy. That’S funny yeah charge all the things, but that about wraps it up for this video guys.
Hopefully you enjoyed it. Let me know what you think of the new airpods Pro 2 or airpods Pro second gen. Let me know with a comment down below I’ll catch.
