Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Android Authority’s Best of MWC 2022!”.
After an almost two year, hiatus android authority is back in barcelona at mobile world congress, and although this year was a little bit more unusual than previous, we still thought that there were some great products to show you guys at home. I’M harley morano with android authority and today i’m going to be showing you the best of mwc 2022. to start off. Our list is the honor magic 4 pro, which is undoubtedly one of the best smartphones we have seen at mwc 2022 with flagship specs, including an ltpo oled display snapdragon 8 gen1 processor and impressive camera options. Next is the realme gt2 pro. This is the company’s first true flagship smartphone with specs that include a snapdragon 8 gen, 1 processor 6.7 inch 120 hertz oled display an impressive camera array and android 12 installed to top it off. This phone is made with an eco-friendly manufacturing process and comes with a starting price of 649 euros, which is about 721 usd sticking with the mobile theme.
We can’t forget about oppo’s super vuk, 150 watt fast charging. We already made a separate video covering this, but to summarize oppo’s new charging tech will allow you to charge its smartphones from 0-100 in just 17 minutes. Of course, oppo did announce a 240 watt fast charger. However, we at android authority thought it was best to award the 150 watt charger due to a balance between fast charging speeds and battery health. Longevity changing gears a bit. We have the samsung galaxy book 2 pro 360. with the starting price of 849 us dollars.
This laptop is built to impress both internally and externally on the outside. You’Ve got a beautiful sleek design, while on the inside, you’ve got a 12th generation intel core i5 or i7 processor and windows 11.. Switching over to tablets for a bit, we have the lenovo ideapad duet 3. for 399 dollars. This is a very affordable tablet, with a 2k display, snapdragon 7c gen, 2 processor, 2, 1 watt speakers and a 12 hour battery the tcl tab. 10 s5g is another affordable tablet that caught our attention.
The 10.1 inch tablet will be retailing for around 349 euros or around 388 us dollars, and it is also the cheapest 5g tablet. With android 12 we’ve seen moving up in price. We have the huawei matebook e.
This 12.6 inch tablet comes with an oled screen and the baseline model starts at 649 euros or around 721 us dollars. It comes with a core i3 processor, 8 gigabytes of ram and 128 gigabytes of storage. However, you can configure the matebook e to its max specs, which includes an 11th gen core i7 16 gigabytes of ram and 512 gigabytes of storage.
Surprisingly, huawei has also decided to announce a competitor to the remarkable 2 tablet. The mate pad paper is an e-ink android tablet that runs harmony, os, meaning that you can load android apps as well as ebooks, although you’ll only be seeing both books and apps in grayscale, you can buy the mate pad paper with a 2nd gen m pencil and Folio cover for 499 euros or 554 us dollars this year at mwc. Qualcomm has also announced its all-band 5g modem, the snapdragon x70.
The x70 supports every commercial band from 600 megahertz to 41 gigahertz, which means that flagships that use this modem should be able to work in all countries on all carriers. The cherry on top this modem is also the first to use ai to increase energy efficiency. Mediatek has also announced its latest chips: the demensity 8000 series.
These chips use a 5 nanometer process and are designed to compete with qualcomm snapdragon 888 and 870 processors. That being said, mediatek hopes. These chips will provide more options for mid-range smartphone buyers. Here at android authority. We don’t usually recognize companies for not doing something. However, we thought it was worth giving oneplus and oppo an honorable mention for not moving forward with unified os at mwc this year. The companies have both decided to step back from their decision and they will both be keeping oxygen, os and color os separate from one another good job guys.
