Look, no look! I the two he’s done both of them.
Now I approved fortnite two weeks ago, which he’s been enjoying a lot. I I had the I had the I had the microtransaction conversation with them again I was like I was like look, okay, you’re, going to see a lot of your friends are going to have a lot of like paid items and skins and stuff in these G. In this, in this game, um, okay, what are what are they he’s like suckers and I’m like good good boy um.
I don’t know how long that’ll last but boy am I ever going to try and keep that mentality, because to be clear guys what I’m doing right now, I don’t. I don’t actually think that’s necessarily true. I think there’s lots of good reasons that you could uh contribute towards a piece of software that you really enjoy. Developers need to be paid. I’M not going to make that argument. A lot of people have bad relationships with this. The issue is that fortnite is designed to be a money, sucking machine and it is designed to prey on people who have who are either young and immature or who have um an unhealthy relationship with these kinds of transactions. And so what I am doing is I am, I am setting the bar here right, knowing that probably he will land here instead of – and this is this is a hope right like I don’t know if this parenting strategy works, but instead of setting the bar here And then you know, oh dear lord, you know he fell down here, so I’m basically setting a very, very high level of expectations. So if we ever do spend money on a fortnite skin or something like that, the understanding will be that this is an exception. This is very, this is special.

I think the only thing you risk with that is when they, when they become free and they seek the thing that was restricted more sometimes it canop yeah, that’s true Way Beyond, but that’s true, I don’t think it will in this case um.
I yeah his his his opinion on what games he liked used to be so incredibly based and now it is becoming not so, and that makes me sad yeah I know, but it’s okay, that’s fine! We’Ll draw them back into it. I still haven’t shown him. Warcraft. 3, kids are going to kid. Sometimes oh yeah and and like realistically gaming is social. That’S true, his friends are playing it. It is what it is: yeah, 100 %. I agree I just it just sucks um one thing that I think is pretty funny about this. Wmart thing is, I can pretty much guarantee you that somebody somewhere is going to complain that you have to buy a physical item in order to get a digital one, which I think is so funny, because we get comments complaining that you have to buy something from Ltt store to get a merch message in because they would rather just send in money and receive nothing, and I just think that’s so crazy that I know someone is going to be like. I just wanted the digital headphones. I didn’t want the real headphones. I wanted to play full headphone for digital headphones, not real ones.
That’S going to happen someone’s going to do it, I mean In fairness. If they don’t need another pair of headphones, I kind of see where they’re coming from just give them to your friend or something or you could just not need the digital headphones too. That’S also an option. That’S a that’s a better idea. I mean this is really smart. You got to give credit where it’s due. This is.
This is super smart they’re, definitely going to move some units um, I just it’s exhausting. I think that’s the only real word that I can use for it. It’S just exhausting, like all the new and creative ways that we can be marketed to billions of dollars going into controlling your brain D like dude there is, there is so much stuff.
That’S just like, like obvious stuff that LTT store, could do in order to sell more, like immediately sell more like goofy stuff like when we did our when we did that video on Sports Tech, so like Tech, that’s branded with sports team logos and stuff like that, Man, the site that runs most of that stuff in the US, it’s just like every stupid mind game is front and center on their site like right now, with only four hours left is the ultimate sale. Big ball sale? No, it’s not you’re just going to start a new sale like fake, fake, low stock information where they’ll try to blast like going out of business. Two two left yeah yeah man, oh man. What is it with mattress stores and being going out of business for like 10 years there’s there’s one on King George Boulevard that the the going out of business signage just faded, like are you’re, not kid you’re, not fooling anybody. What is this Ltd store.com in Roblox? I mean you know what I’d be I’d be down. I’D be down to do like a Wan hoodie that you can wear in your video game and also you get a you know: real life, Wan hoodie, or something like that. I I I don’t. I don’t see that as inherently bad, I’m just I’m just kind of tired of having things shoved down my throat this hard, and it feels like uh feels like a lot of people feel that way. .
