Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Google Pixel 9 Series – Major Overhaul, But There’s A Catch?”.
I know I know the Google pixel 88 series was barely released a few months ago. We just got this new mint color, that’s pretty nice, so I’m sure some of you will assume it’s probably too early for rumors already but uh. That’S not really the case with smartphones being planned as early as 3 years in advanced and pretty pretty much ready for manufacturing testing as early as 7 months before this idea about talking the next pixel launch is actually making a ton of sense. Trust me if this was some bogus Source, I would not spending my time making a video, but since this is on leaks, renders on my Smart price.
Well, let’s just say this could lead to something credible, I’m hi Mar with pocket now and let’s dive into what we just learned about the Google pixel 9 series. Let’S begin with what we just got to see about the possible design changes which are pretty major. The current visor design language Google came up with since the pixel 6 is yeah, 3 Generations, old, love it or haed. This change did bring a breath of originality to the lineup, and I praised it up until the recent launch that got a bit too sharp on the camera HP with the 8 Pro. It would be a logical step for the company to either try something new or evolve the design language with more refinements, even if yeah, Samsung and Apple are on their like third or fourth iteration, respectively anyways. The first thing that we cannotice is that the flat Trend that began with the pixel 8 on the front is going to go a step further, and I mean way further. This new design features complete flat edges all around the phone, giving the device a boxy. Look that seems to be trending right now. That’S not all, though, as it appears that Google might have revamped their rear camera layout as well.
Instead of extending the camera bar across the entire width of the phone, the renders reveal a three camera Arrangement housed inside a protruding oval-shaped Island, similar to to the design of the pixel fold. Now, an interesting and maybe controversial move is that it also seems like we’re getting a smaller 6.5 in display down from the 6.7 in we got last year on the pro variant, and your guess is as good as mine as to why we even saw Samsung shed A hair of its screen size on the ultra last year, so maybe that’s a trend also and similar to the pixel 8 Pro the pixel 9 Pro features the power and volume buttons situated on the right side of the device which uh yeah. Why not use some of the real estate on the other side and then another thing to notice is that even if not major Google seems to be shifting slightly the SIM card placement, though uh? Well, let’s just say: I’m just excited because I see a SIM card placement for me at this point.
That’S a major deal considering Apple made that move two years ago and when it comes to the spec sheet, logic would say it’s highly likely that we’ll get the tensor G4 powering the show, but there is a catch. Originally we heard the intent was that this new chip was the company’s inaugural in-house custom, chipset, meaning not relying as much on Samsung’s exos design. Well, recent reports indicate a delay in those plans, maybe until the pixel 10 in 2025.
The tensor G4 is expected to represent a modest improvement over the tensor G3 evident in its Zuma Pro code, name and contrary to initial expectations of it utilizing tsmc’s 3 nanometer node. The G4 will persist as a modified Samsung, xos chipset, maintaining the use of Samsung Foundry. As seen in previous instances.
I know this is not something to celebrate, as the pixel 8 series had a very Rocky start, with lackluster gaming performance for Flagship pricing, at least on the pro variant and yeah. I know that there were some software patches intended to fix this in all, but we go back to how hard it is to recommend potential to anyone seriously. I am hoping that we do see some kind of improvement on the pixel 9 series, particularly if they plan the same pricing now switching the topic to camera.
It seems the smaller pixel 99 might be in line to get some added. Love reports have a significant change. Coming by providing this smaller variant with the telephoto lens that it’s never really had, though, we’re not exactly sure if it means we’ll get a smaller pixel, 9 Pro in every way, following on two sizes for the Pro or maybe not, I mean it could also be That we get a third lens that has less capabilities than the larger Pro like. We currently have on the iPhone 15 Pro and pro Max all while graduating the pixel a series into a two camera, affordable Flagship killer. But at this point we might not know where that’s going until May, when we anticipate the a variant of the 8 series to be launched, while the pixel 99 lineup might introduce new hardware features. The series standout is expected to be software. Innovations from Google expect to focus on AI powered processing and software enhancements, rather than relying solely on Raw hard Hardware to deliver the finest camera experiences which yeah have been the pixel Staples since Generation 1. In the pixel 8 series, Google made some subtle changes to the sensor.
Lineup, though, with reports indicating the latest main camera is likely an ISO cell gmv from Samsung. Although the company has not officially disclosed details about its latest Hardware updates and finally, let’s switch to pricing, because the $ 100 price increase on the pixel, 8 and 8 Pro did not make this lineup look any better at a time when it’s still struggling to gain Traction in the US market not sure if it’s a good or bad thing, but it’s expected that the pixel 9 series will maintain these price points for at least one more generation which does sound logical as they do have to pay for the R .
