So, as you guys saw, we get this crazy new theater setup, we had it originally set up with a short throw or laser TV style projection. Originally we were thinking. Wouldn’T this be a cool place to Showcase other display Technologies, see how they look in kind of like an optimal setting. Obviously, LG noticed that we had this theater going on and they were like hey. You should check out what a TV can look like in that environment, so they sent over the QED 75 in and this is the QED 880.
If you’re looking in the UK, then the model number is q81, but it’s the same TV just labeled differently, and this is their latest generation of QED, see how it compares to projection. I do expect it obviously to be brighter Quantum Nano cell richer, more accurate colors. Obviously, we also have their A7 Gen 6 uh processor unit for 4K. It’S got AirPlay as well as Apple homekit, there’s Alexa built in [ Applause ], one of our legs. In our case, we won’t be using these since we’re going to actually Mount this power. Cable LG’s, typical remote with functionality for Netflix Disney plus Prime video and yes, there are batteries included in the package, just check out how thin that is, it’s kind of ridiculous.

It’S the latest LCD Tech, quantum dot with LG nanoel. This is going to give immersive color, obviously viously enhancements, in contrast and dimming, so like black levels and so on, utilizing the alpha 7 processor Generation 6. So this is going to help with your variety of sources, whether they’re 4K or not. Oh, easy, easy. So, with this display, you’ve got a backlight with Quantum Nano cell color teac, and this delivers enhanced, brightness, deeper black Max and more Vivid color.
This is going to give you more accurate, color, reproduction and obviously local dimming is a big deal here. I’M actually cleaning up the house right now, the on older Tech, where you didn’t have local dimming. I don’t know if you’ve ever seen. One of these displays, if you have dark sections on the screen, they can appear gray or washed out, because the display is trying to exposed for like a colored or a vibrant section and can’t effectively turn off the back blacklight in those dark sections. You just get this sort of Muddy look. Take, for example, the black of the tire next to brightness of the wheel.
In this case, this is an almost completely black area right up against a completely bright area. The tech that’s gone into the latest generation really helps. These displays. Create those distinctions in your image. Give you a performance, that’s really beyond what LEDs were capable of in the past, so LG’s dimming Tech uses deep learning, algorithms.
This helps it produce sharper and more natural images, and it tries to minimize that unsightly halo effect that you see on some displays and that Alpha 7 processor – that’s in here the Generation 6 – is also using its own algorithm. Recognizing the initial quality of the content. Analyzing picture and sound and then running its own optimization.
It’S also got something in here called AI picture wizard. It can be based on your preference, determined by an analysis of a variety of images, select two images with preferred picture quality among the images. If I select a bunch that have this really really vibrant blue, I’m probably going to go to towards a more Vivid picture setting this one looks maybe in between: let’s select this one and this one. Ah now we get into the white balance a little bit. We have some cooler tones for white and then some warmer ones. This is balanced to me, and so is this.
I don’t want it to be washed out. I kind of want those darker black. I also like those too. Now the analysis is in progress. You like a clear picture. Damn right, I do we’re just rolling like we used to that’s what this is called speed it up Harry. He knows it’s a little punk already, oh for a three. It is glass from three uh.
