Quickly Select a Large Dataset in Excel

Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “Quickly Select a Large Dataset in Excel”.
In this short Excel video, I’m going to show you how to quickly select a large data set in Microsoft Excel. So here I am in a spreadsheet, it’s a toy inventory spreadsheet and I would like to select the data that’s in this table, but not the headings. I don’t need those, so I’m going to click on Cell B4. Now, of course, I could just click and hold the click and drag to select that range and that works really well, especially if you only have a little bit of data, but let me show you a faster way and a way that works great, even with a Large amount of data so clicking here on B4, I can scroll down to the bottom right corner of the data, hold the shift key and then tap the bottom right corner of the data set, and that highlights the entire data set. Now I can copy that with Ctrl C and I could paste it with Ctrl V.

So that’s just a little tip to help you more quickly, select a data set without having to click and drag just click in the upper left, corner, scroll down, hold shift and click in the lower right corner, and all of it will be selected thanks for watching.
