Hi, this is Wayne again with a topic “They Fit a GPU in This?? – MSI @ Computex 2023”.
We’Re here at the MSI booth at computex 2023, where they have got brand new laptops, displays motherboards starting off. We have the prestige Studio 16, and this thing right here is sweet. This is the first laptop as far as I know, that has the Intel Evo certification and a dedicated GPU. So in here we’re looking at 13th gen H series processors from Intel not 100 sure what it is. They won’t tell me, but it is going to be pretty darn fast on top of that we have the RTX 4060 and what’s really noticeable with. This, though, is that it is hacking light. This thing right here is 1.5 kilograms and it says a little card that this magnesium alloy chassis is fingerprint resistant.
Let’S see, uh wow, that’s really really good. I don’t know if you can tell, but I am rather gross at the moment, good job guys for the screen. It’S only 60 hertz. They said not to focus on that, but that’s fair enough, because everything else is very, very good.

Oliver said yes and he likes Max so uh, that’s pretty darn good. We can expect at least nine hours because you need that to get the Intel Evo certification, maybe even more in this. They do have the largest battery that you can put in the laptop so 99 Watt hours now. One thing at MSI always does struggle with, though, is the keyboard and it’s not bad. It’S not bad. It’S like a B plus something like that.
It’S too bad because the switches are like medium tier, but this chassis is like a A plus like I don’t know if you can tell, but I am pushing on it and the magnesium alloy is not great when you don’t have it actually on a table, but Msi has just been killing it with how much they have improved their chassis rigidity. Lately I really like it for Io. We have full size, SD card reader, again, video editors, love that headphone microphone, combo Jack, HDMI, USB type, A and two Thunderbolts which do do your power delivery up to 140 Watts. This thing right here looks very sweet.
They don’t yet have finalized pricing, but they say it will be under three thousand dollars, which maybe is good. Maybe it isn’t depends on how far they get under three grand. I do like it, though so nice one more thing.
Let’S have a little look at just how this trackpad is actually I’m I’m kind of sticking to it. This right here might need a let’s see there we go. This is one of those track pads where you need to get a little bit greasy before it starts working well, but now this thing feels great seems like we have an actual click yeah there we go and it is massive: let’s go the next one up. Next, we’ve got the commercial 14h, so this right here is, as you might have guessed, aimed at Commercial Business stuff. So this right here is made out of mostly recycled materials, and you have a bunch of options for i o right here we have a full size.
Sd card reader, headphone microphone, combo Jack type, a thunderbolt power in around back we’ve got HDMI 2.1 USB type, A another type, A and 2.5 gigabit Lan. Although they do say that back here, you can reconfigure the i o to sort of exactly what you want. Also up here, we’ve got a smart card reader there and an NFC Reader there. So if you want to have that like extra business level security, it has got that for the processor we get Intel Core H with the Evo certification, of course, and also V Pro is available.
If you want to give Intel just heaps of your money. As for the actual build quality, it’s a two years ago, MSI three years ago, MSI – maybe I’m sorry, it’s not that bad! It’S pretty good overall, but they are going not for like Ultra Premium business. It’S more like budget ish tier sort of tier budget sort of tier business.
Laptops are expensive, so I definitely cannot say budget for the display. It is 14 inches. 1200, P 16 by 10.

We’Ve got 240 hertz 5120 by 1440p resolution, and this just just have a look at this Oliver, it’s so nice you can just peacefully Glide along, but in those like really bright areas, you’re going to be getting a thousand nits Peak brightness. Only three percent of the screen, but still pretty good, and then in those dark areas it is Pitch Black.
Now we can’t fully show it off on this monitor it. It looks a little bit strange, but it was this one was hand built we’ll give them a break. Let’S go have a look at the one. That’S properly done. There we go, we’ve got the 34 inch version and even though this one’s already released, it gives us an idea of how good the final picture quality of that big boy is going to be normally in the past. You would have to compromise either like picture quality. Refresh rate response times or one of those, but here you’re able to get all of that – it’s a 0.0 millisecond graded gray on something. That’S this large.
It’S crazy! The 34 inch comes in at about thirteen hundred dollars and they don’t have final pricing on the 49. But they said it should be under 1700. up next, we’ve got the gun year 300r air flow, and this is so cool in the past. If you want to have a vertical GPU, you know you can. It looks great, but you’re going to be compromising on performance. Here, though, they have two 60 millimeter fans in the back to draw a bunch of air across your SSD and the back of your GPU when it’s vertical a little 80 millimeter guy here to just aim.
It sort of where you want it. You also have 320 millimeter fans in the front. Also, you can do 140s if you want and there’s enough space up top to do push pull configs with a radiator they’ve really thought through how to properly support your GPU. So you can put this little bracket here at any point in that direction or in this direction. Uh that direction like that – and this is eight millimeter thick tempered glass, that’s been etched and it looks really quite good, especially with the RGB. Maybe you aren’t into interested in having a vertical GPU, though MSI has a very easy solution for that.
Look, just pops right off! Second, one comes in something like uh here, yeah as easy as that, and now you can have a normal horizontal GPU up. Next, we have the project zero and uh. Where are the cables for power for your motherboard, can’t see them and that’s because they’re actually mounted on the back.
We have seen this done before, but MSI is going to be releasing the case and the motherboard together. So you can have that just Ultra Clean setup and not have to worry too much about real compatibility problems. Also, you can sleep a little bit easier. The next time you plug in your graphics card. They have these little yellow cables, and that means that when you insert it, you just very simply have to make sure that you do not see any of the yellow. I’M sure that you guys heard about you know 490s Lighting on fire bad time. That was mostly because of the user sort of not getting in quite all the way. This way, you just very simply make sure no yellow Boop.
